국문 초록

이 연구는 一然이 저술한 ≷三國遺 事≸의 여러 판본 중에서 조선 초기에 간행된 판본을 대상으로 형태서지적 검토와 더불어 본문의 교감을 보충적 으로 살펴본 것이다. 대상본은 王曆과 권1, 2의 零本 1책이며 그 존재는 이미 관련 학계에 알려져 있었으나 전체의 내용은 공개되지 않았던 ‘파른본’이다. 여기서는 앞선 선행연구에 의하여 밝혀진 중종임신본과의 차이점과 이 판본에 나타난 판식의 특징, 서체, 판각의 양상을 살펴보고 판본간의 계통을 체계 적으로 정리하고자 하였다. 특히 연구 대상본인 조선 초기 판본의 초간본 여부와 중종임신본에서의 판목의 재인출 등에 대하여 검토한 결과 조선 초기 판본은 권5의 찬자표기 형식과 사본류가 개입된 왕력 그리고 권1-4 의 변형에 따른 중간본의 양상으로 추정하였다. 또 ‘國’자의 서체와 삐침획의 차이 등에서도 의미있는 차이를 확인하여 변용의 원인을 찾고자 하였다.

영문 초록

43) This study deals with the shape, the printed types and fonts used in the edition of The Memorabilia of the Three Kingdoms, also called Samguk Yusa (三國遺事), owned by Professor Son Bo-gi (孫寶基). This book is commonly called the Pareun Edition. Before introducing this material, we focus on the format and formal features of the book. As a result, we could find out the facts as follows: 1. The Parun Edition is comprised of ‘Wangryuk’ (王曆), Book 1 and Book 2. The condition of the book is generally good. It is assumed that the paper used is thin mulberry paper. 2. The book’s string binding was made in five spots as usual, and its cover was repaired in not too distant times. Some written records were cut off the outside of four printing border of the text, and there are some annotations to the text. 3. Another book was recently identified as the same systematic edition as Pareun. It was also published in early Cho-sun period, but only includes ‘Wangryuk’ (王曆) and Book 1. This book forms the first part of volume 2 of the Nisan edition (泥山本) because of its annotation, written records, paper quality and other features. 4. The publication date of the first edition is different from scholars in academic world, but in this study we presumed that the first edition was published in the Koryo period and that the copy from the early Cho-sun period is a subsequent edition. 5. The physical features of the book show that the Pareun edition was not re-engraved, but reprinted. 6. The calligraphy of Samguk Yusa (三國遺事) Book 5 differs from what is common in the early Cho-sun period, for example the character for gook (國), and characters like heung (興), yeo (與), yeo (輿), byung (兵), gong (共), gi (其)’ and yi (異) also show slight differences in stroke and direction of transcription. This could mean that there was a different copyist for each volume. In addition, there are some cases of misprint, missing letters, syllable omission and heteromorphic characters in the Pareun edition. As a result, the Joongjong Imsin edition (中宗壬申本), which was reprinted from the Parun edition, also evinces the same mistakes.
