전통문화원형사업의 성과 영향요인 분석

국문 초록

본 연구에서는 문화체육관광부와 (재)전통공연예술진흥재단에서 진행하는 <전통예술복원 및 재현사업>을 통해 복원․재현된 전통문화원형의 활용에 영향을 미치는 요인을 로지스틱 회귀분석을 통해 분석하였다. 2009년부터 2015년까지 지원을 받은 콘텐츠의 수는 총 53개였으며, 이 중에서 2개년 연속을 지원을 받은 4개 사업을 제외한 49개를 분석의 대상으로 하였다. 문화원형콘텐츠의 성과에 영향을 미치는 요인을 분석하기 위하여 문화원형 및 콘텐츠사업에 대한 성과 정의와 측정방법을 살펴보고, 문화원형의 활용에 영향을 주는 보편성, 특수성, 지역성, 보존․전승 단체, 그리고 재원의 지속성에 대한 선행연구를 검토하였다. 분석결과 보존․전승단체의 여부와 재원의 지속성이 통계적으로 유의미한 것으로 나타났다. 이는 원형 콘텐츠의 보존․전승 단체가 사업실행 주체일수록 향후 활용될 가능성이 높다는 것을 의미한다고 해석할 수 있다. 또한 콘텐츠에 대한 지속적이고 안정적인 예산 확보 역시 활용여부에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 결과에서 추출해낼 수 있는 중요한 점은 전통공연예술진흥재단에서 시행하고 있는 <전통예술복원 및 재현사업>이 앞으로 어떠한 기준과 방식으로 지원단체를 선정하고 관리해야 하는지에 대한 가이드라인으로 활용할 수 있는 몇 가지 요인들을 분석했다는 점이다. 특히 4가지 독립변수 중 영향력이 높은 보존․전승단체의 여부는 콘텐츠를 복원하고 활용하는데 있어 콘텐츠에 대한 기관의 전문성과 이를 전승하고 개발하려는 노력이 영향을 미친다는 것을 의미하기 때문에, <전통예술복원 및 재현사업>의 목적인 전통문화원형의 향후 활용가능성을 염두해둔다면 전승단체의 역량에 대한 평가가중치를 고민해볼만하다는 점이다. 아울러 <전통예술복원 및 재현사업>이 사라져가는 우리 전통예술의 원형을 되살리는 좋은 정책사업으로서 지속되기 위해서 어떠한 점들을 수정․보완해야 할 지에 대한 아이디어를 제공해줄 수 있다는 점에서 본 연구의 의의가 있다고 하겠다.

영문 초록

This study analyzes the Korean Traditional Performing Arts Restoration and Reproduction Project hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism(MCST) and the Korea Traditional Performing Arts Foundation(KoTPA). Logistic-regression analysis is used to determine the factors that influence the practical use of traditional art archetype contents. The analysis includes a total of 49 projects which have been funded by KoTPA during the period of 2009 to 2015; the total number of the funded projects is 53 and 4 of them which have received the fund for 2 consecutive years are exempted from the analysis. To determine the influence factors, universality, distinctiveness, regionality, character of support arts organizations, and durability of the fund are reviewed. The results show that the character of the arts organization and durability of the fund are significant statistically. This means if the arts organization is the main project agent, then the restored content has high availability to be practically used. Furthermore, if the secured budget is durable and stable, it effects the usage of its contents. This study is meaningful in that some of the factors that could influence the successful use of the restored and reproduced contents have been determined. The implication of this study could help steer how this project should select and manage the supporting arts organization. Moreover, the research results could provide some ideas which could help to continue this meaningful project by offering what to evaluate and revise.
