국문 초록

삶의 흔적으로서 역사는 인간의 본성인 희로애락의 감정에서 벗어날 수 없다. 교실 수업에서 학생들은 교사의 전달과 설명을 듣고 때로는 약하게 때로는 강하게 정서를 인식한다. 역사 교육의 전향적 접근은 수업 과정에서 학생이 지니는 정서의 잠재적 이점을 고려해야 한다. 본 글은 정서를 이용하여 학생의 학습 참여를 돕고, 학생들의 역사 이해를 증진시킬 수 있는 방법을 찾고자 하였다. 먼저, 역사 연구의 대상인 인간 행위가 정서 · 심리적 동기에 의해 생겨나며 행동으로 결과 되는 심리적 기제를 검토하였다. 정서는 특히 동기화를 통하여 역사 행위와 연관됨으로써, 역사 행위를 설명하고 이해하는데 중요한 변수가 될 수 있었다. 역사 학습은 역사 행위의 궤적을 쫒는 것으로 정서를 활용하여 학생들의 역사 이해를 촉진할 수업 방법을 구상하였다. 역사 교과서의 서술에는 정서적 인과 관계의 흐름을 보여주는 내용을 확인할 수 있다. 이러한 역사 내러티브는 정서와 관련되기에 맥락화는 보다 확장되며 이해를 한층 용이하게 한다. 학생들이 정서가(情緖價)를 띠는 역사 텍스트에서 정서를 읽어내는 인지 · 추론 방식으로 학습상의 정서를 활용할 수 있다. 이 같은 시험적인 수업 방법이 학생들의 흥미를 자극하여 수업에 끌어들이고 과거인의 생생한 삶에 다가갈 뿐만 아니라 학습 내용에 대한 기억과 이해를 높일 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

Learning history can be defined from various emotions such as happiness, sadness, love and joy which are natural traces of human life. In the classroom, students also perceive certain weak or strong emotions from time to time in listening while the teacher is delivering explanations. In proactive approach to history education, it should be considered the potential benefits of emotions perceived by students in the learning process. The purpose of this article is to help the students participate in learning about history in class by using their emotions and to try to look for ways to improve their understanding history. First, this study examined the psychological mechanism which is the subject of historical research and where human behavior represents its emotional and psychological motivations that might result in changes of behavior. Emotions are related with historic acts, especially through synchronization and could be an important variable to explain and understand historical behaviors. Upon learning the history, it is eyeing the trajectories of historical acts, teaching methods are envisioned to promote students’ understanding of history by utilizing emotions. Description from the history textbooks can view the information showing the flow of emotional causation. These historical narratives make contextualization into much more extended and easier to understand because they are associated with emotions. The students can take advantage of learning emotions by the cognition and reasoning method on how the students feel emotions in the historic text-mode which has emotional value. Such trial class methods will not only stimulate the students’ interest and give them interest in the lesson, but also helpful to reach their past and vivid lives. It brings back their memory and widens their understanding on the subject matter.
