보완․대체 의사소통체계 대화상대자 훈련 연구 동향 분석

국문 초록

보완․대체 의사소통(AAC) 중재의 궁극적인 목적은 AAC 사용자가 가정, 학교, 지역사회에서 만나는 다양한 사람들과의 상호작용에 효율적이고 효과적으로 참여할 수 있도록 하려는 데 있다. AAC 사용자가 대화상대자와 효과적인 상호작용을 하기 위해서는 AAC 사용자가 AAC를 얼마나 효과적으로 사용하는가 뿐만 아니라 의사소통 상대자의 상호작용 기술도 중요하다. 국내에서는 1990년대 중반 AAC에 관한 연구가 시작되면서 초창기에는 AAC 활용에 관한 연구에 초점을 맞추어 왔으나 사용자와의 효과적인 상호작용을 위한 대화상대자 훈련의 중요성이 강조되면서 2000년대 들어 AAC 대화상대자 연구가 속속 보고 되고 있다. 본 문헌분석은 2000년부터 2011년까지 AAC사용자와의 대화상대자 훈련 연구를 독립변인으로 실시한 실험연구를 선정하였다. 선정된 10편의 개별 논문들은 연구대상자, 종속변인, AAC 도구와 어휘수, 연구결과 및 연구방법과 훈련단계에 따라 분석되었다. 연구에 참여한 대화상대자를 살펴보면 또래를 대상으로 훈련을 실시한 연구 5편, 형제자매를 대상으로 한 연구 2편과 어머니를 대상으로 한 연구가 3편이었다. 10편의 연구 중 8편이 단일대상연구방법을 사용하여 중재의 효과를 측정하였으며 종속변인은 대화상대자의 전략 사용의 변화와 AAC 사용자의 의사소통과 사회적 상호작용의 변화였다. 연구결과는 전반적으로 긍정적인 성과를 보고하였다. 대화상대자 훈련 프로그램은 Kent-Walsh와 McNaughton(2005)이 제시한 훈련 단계를 분석의 틀로 분석되었는데 분석결과 AAC 대화상대자로서 사용할 수 있는 전략 교수에 초점이 맞추어 훈련이 이루어졌음을 볼 수 있었다. 대화상대자 훈련 연구의 동향을 살펴보고, 연구결과를 토대로 추후연구 방향을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of AAC intervention is that AAC users have communicative competencies for interactions with familiar and unfamiliar communication partners in home, schools, and community. The success of the interaction between AAC users and communication partners depends on the interaction skills of the communication partners as well as the communicative competencies of AAC users. From the mid-1990, research has emphasized on the importance of commuication partners roles for interaction with AAC users. The purpose of this analysis was reviewed empirical studies to implement AAC communication partner training programs between 2000 and 2011. 10 studies were identified and analyzed with characteristics of participants, dependent variables, the types of AAC, research methodologies, and training program employed. Out of 5 studies conducted training for peers with AAC users, 2 studies were for siblings, and the rest of them conducted for mothers of children who used AAC. Single-subject research design was the most frequently used methodology to investigate the effectiveness of training programs. All studies reported the positive results of training program. Based on the results, issues and future research directions were discussed.
