정몽주(鄭夢周) 문집의 증보추이 고찰

국문 초록

본고에서는 포은집의 14종 판본의 증보 상항을 개괄하되 특히 증보규모가 컸던 교서관본, 영천초각본, 개성재각본, 속집본 등을 집중적으로 고찰하였다. 본고에서는 교서관본의 증보 기준은 수록범위의 확장, 문학성 강화, 국왕 위상의 강화에 있음을 밝혔다. 첫째, 정몽주의 글만 있던 기존 판본과 달리 정몽주의 일상생활과 유적 자료, 정몽주 차운(次韻) 작품의 원작품, 정몽주 에 대해 언급한 당대 및 후대의 자료 등으로까지 수록범위를 넓혔다. 둘째, 문집 체제를 주제 중심에서 시체(詩體) 중심으로 바꾸었다. 셋째, 대두법(擡頭法) 사용에 있어서 중국황제보다 조선국왕을 더 높이는 태도를 취했다. 영천초각본에서 유성룡은 목록, 습유 등의 항목을 새로 추가하고 연보, 잡저, 부록 등은 기존 내용을 대폭 수정하거나 정리하여 문집의 체계를 확정 하였다. 개성재각본과 속집본은 정찬휘가 1719년까지의 정몽주 관련 언급을 대폭 첨부하여 만든 속집을 바탕으로 개성 및 영천에서 만든 판본들이다. 정찬휘는 특히 정몽주가 고려 우왕을 섬긴 일과 관련된 논란에서 이황, 조광 조 등의 우호적인 발언을 수록하여 정몽주의 위상강화에 기여하였다. 본고는 포은집 판본의 대표적 증보 양상에 대해 고찰하고 이들 증보에서 단순한 분량 확장 이상의 편찬 목적이 있었음을 밝힌 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

This study set out to examine the supplementation of 14 woodblock-printed books in Poeunjip, focusing on the Gyoseogwan, Yeongcheonchogak, Gaeseongjaegak, and Sokjip books whose supplementation size was huge. The supplementation criteria of Gyoseogwan book included the expansion of inclusion scope, reinforcement of literary value, and strengthening of king s status. First, it expanded the scope of inclusion to the materials about the daily life and relics of Jeong Mong-ju, his original works of Chawun works, and the materials that mentioned him by his contemporaries and later generations unlike the old woodblock-printed books that only contained his writings. Secondly, there was a shift from topics to poetic styles in the system of collection of his works. Finally, the status of Joseon kings was heightened further than that of Chinese emperors in the use of Daedubeop. In Yeongcheonchogak book, Yu Seong-ryong added the list and addendum items and largely revised or sorted out the old content including the chronological lists, miscellaneous writings, and supplements, thus confirming the system of collection of his works. The Gaeseongjaegak and Sokjip books were based on the Sokjip, which was made by Jeong Chan-hui by adding a large amount of mentions about Jeong Mong-ju until 1719, in Gaeseong and Yeongcheon, respectively. He contributed to the reinforced status of Jeong Mong-ju by including favorable remarks about him by Lee Hwang and Jo Gwang-jo in the controversy of his service to King Wu of Goryeo. The present study examined the representative supplementation patterns of woodblock-printed books of Poeunjip and demonstrated that there were more purposes of their publication in addition to a simple increase of quantity.
