국문 초록

오늘날 한국 개신교회는 심각한 위기에 처하였다. 불교, 로마가톨릭교회, 개신교회 가운데 개신교회의 신뢰도가 가장 낮은 수준이다. 개신교회의 교회 건물이 경매에 넘어가는 일이 계속 일어나고 있다. 이 같은 현상에 대한 한 가지 원인을 본 논문은 교단의 난립에서 발견하고, 이를 극복하기 위한 교회의 연합과 일치의 성서적, 신학적 필연성 내지 당위성을 제시한다. “그리스도의 몸,” “하나님의 백성,” “성령의 전,” 교회의 본질을 가리키는 이 세 가지 교회론적 개념들 속에는 나누어진 교회의 화해와 연합에 대한 강력한 요구가 내포되어 있음을 본 논문은 밝힌다. 이들 개념들에 따르면 땅 위의 모든 교회는 전체에 속한 부분들로서 하나의 유기체를 이룬다. 나아가 본 논문은 세례, 성찬, 하나님의 삼위일체의 신학적 명제 속에 숨어 있는 교회의 연합과 일치에 대한 요구를 드러낸다. “일치 속에서의 구별,” “구별 속에서의 일치”를 보이는 하나님의 삼위일체는 교회의 연합과 일치에 대한 근원과 모상으로 제시된다. 마지막으로 본 논문은 “포도나무와 가지”에 대한 예수의 말씀과, “우리가 하나인 것 같이, 그들도 하나가 되게 하여 주십시오”(요 17:11)라는 예수의 기도에서 교회의 연합과 일치의 필연성에 대한 근거를 발견하고, 한국 개신교회의 연합은 개신교회가 반드시 이루어야 할 하나님의 명령임을 밝힌다.

영문 초록

These days the Protestant churches in Korea suffer a very serious crisis. The grade of religious credibility in Korea finds the Protestant churches to be the lowest compared with Buddhism and Roman Catholic Church. This essay points out one of the important reasons for the crisis is the confused dispersions of the church into almost numberless denominations, large or small. In order to overcome this crisis, the essay tries to ground the necessity of the reconciliation and mutual integration of the churches on some ecclesiological conceptions of what the church is and the important theological themes as the Christian Baptism, the Holy Communion and the Trinity of God. Three ecclesiological conceptions of the church are ‘the body of Christ,’ ‘the People of God,’ and ‘the Temple of the Holy Spirit.’ They refer to the essentials of the church, which imply the strong demands for the reconciliation and integration of the churches. According to these conceptions, all the churches on the earth are the Parts that constitute the Whole; they take the shape of one organism. Christian Baptism, the Holy Communion, and the Trinity of God also theologically imply the necessity of the reconciliation and unity of the churches. Especially, the Trinity of God reveals itself as the origin and prototype(Urbild) for the unity of the churches as it has ‘the Distinction in Unity’ and ‘the Unity in Distinction’ as its essence. In conclusion, the essay argues for the necessity of the reconciliation and union of the churches on the basis of the words of Jesus Christ on “the vine and its branches”(John 15:5) and His prayer to His Father: “They may be one as we are one”(John 17:11). With these words the essay asserts that the reconciliation and union of the Protestant churches in Korea is the very urgent order of God that the churches should accomplish with their whole hearts and powers.
