국문 초록

인간은 미래에 대한 불확실성을 가지고 살아간다. 미래는 손에 닿을 수 없는 영 역이기 때문이다. 하지만, 디지털 세상은 미래를 예측할 수 있는 기술을 낳고 있고, 그 기술로 인해 상상으로만 존재하던 미래에 대한 예측이 현실로 다가오고 있다. 현대인의 삶은 디지털 빅브라더의 감시 속에 있다. 하지만 이러한 현상을 비판하기 엔, 디지털 세상은 우리에게 편리함을 제공하고 있어서 그것에서 쉽게 벗어나기 힘들다. 빅데이터를 통해 인간은 양화되고 측정당하는 조종의 대상이 된다. 빅데이터는 인간의 감정과 이데올로기를 필터링하는 역할을 한다. 과학기술 문명의 발전은 새롭고도 더욱더 효과적인 파놉티콘의 세계를 가져왔다. 디지털 파놉티콘의 세계에서는 서로 격렬하게 대화하고, 자발적 노출에 참여한 다. 이런 세계에서 인간 행동의 예측, 다시 말해서 범죄의 예측으로 인한 인간 구속 은 어떤 의미를 갖는 것인지 숙고해야 하는 것이다. 영화와 소설『마이너리티 리포트』 에서는 범죄예측을 통해 범죄를 사전에 예방한다. 과연 범죄예방 시스템은 인 간에게 자유의지를 빼앗아 가는 것일까, 만약에 그렇다면 인간에게는 자유의지가 없는 것인가라는 의문을 던진다. 가까운 미래에 사고예방, 범죄 가능성 예측 등에 쓰일 실제적 기술이 실현될 것이다. 과학기술은 명백히 인간의 관념을 뛰어 넘어 발전할 것이며, 이것은 인간에게 올바른 숙고와 사용을 요구하고 있다. 이 논문은 인문학적 관점에서 이러한 물음에 답을 찾기 위한 도전이라 할 수 있다.

영문 초록

Humans live with uncertainty about the future. The future is beyond humans’ reach. However, the digital world has created a technology that can predict the future, and the prediction of the future that has been only in the imagination is becoming reality. The lives of contemporary man are under surveillance of Digital Big Brother. But it is too convenient to liven in the digital world to criticize this phenomenon, so it is hard to get out of the world. Humans become targets of manipulation and measurement through big data. Big data plays a role in filtering human emotion and ideology. The development of scientific and technological civilization has brought a new and more effective world of panopticon. In the world of the Digital Panopticon, we communicate with each other intensely and participate in voluntary exposure. In this world, we must contemplate what human action is due to the prediction of human behavior, that is, the prediction of crime. In the Minority Report, crime is predicted through crime prediction. Does the crime prevention system take away the free will of human beings, and if so, does it question whether the human being has free will. In the near future, practical technologies that will be used for accident prevention and crime prediction will be realized. Science and technology will evolve beyond human notions. It demands the right reflection and use by humans.
