국문 초록

지역축제는 지역적 공동체적 의식과 동질성을 기반으로 생산과 노동에 참여하는 사람들이 함께 벌이는 민속제의이며, 사람의 가치를 중심으로 사람과 사람의 소통과 교감을 통해 발생하는 것으로 그 지역사회를 뒷받침하는 공동체의 고유성에서 비롯되었다. 지역 공동체 주민이 주체가 되어 준비하고 개최하는 축제로 지역주민들의 총체적인 삶과 전통 문화적 요소와 지역성, 연희성, 일탈성, 대동성, 문화적 공공성 등이 내재되어 있는 있으며, 주기적으로 치러지는 공동체적 성격의 행사라 할 수 있다. 본 연구는 지역축제 활성화를 위한 시민참여 콘텐츠 개발 접근 방법으로 강릉단오제의 지정문화재 행사 중, 시민들이 직접적으로 참여하여 지역문화와 주민이 서로 교감하고 공유하는 ‘함께’의 문화가치에 중점을 둔 프로그램이라 할 수 있는 <신주미봉정>과 <단오등>, <영신행차 길놀이>에서 “만들어진 전통”의 변용과정을 분석하였다. 콘텐츠를 즐겁게 향유하는 주민계층이 새로운 콘텐츠의 필요성을 자각하고 스스로 만들면 그것이 또다시 새로운 향유계층을 창출하면서 지역콘텐츠에 대한 관심과 애착을 가지게 되고 더 나아가 축제에 참여하게 되는 사례를 통하여 시민참여 축제로 발전되는 과정을 살펴보고자 하였다.

영문 초록

Local festivals are folk ceremonies that people participating in production and labor hold together based on community spirit and homogeneity through communication and communion among people around their values. Thus, local festivals were derived from the unique characteristics of the community spirit that supports the community. As the festivals prepared and held by community residents, local festivals include their life and traditional cultural elements as well as regionality, theatricalness, deviance, unity, and cultural publicness, and are regularly held community events. This study analyzed the transformation of made-up tradition from , , and , which are the programs focusing on the cultural value of togetherness, among the designated cultural asset of Gangneung Dano festival. Local culture and residents have communion and exchange with each other together through the citizens direct participation. This research examined this as an approach to develop participatory contents to revitalize local festivals. If residents who enjoy contents recognize the necessity of new contents and make them themselves, this will create a new class of people enjoying the contents,. It will increase the interest and attachment toward local contents and lead more people to participate in local festivals. The study intended to examine how this is developed into participatory festivals through these examples
