학교 숲을 이용한 체험활동이 초등학생의 환경감수성 및 환경친화적 태도에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

학교 숲을 이용한 체험활동이 초등학생의 환경감수성 및 환경친화적 태도에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 4학년을 대상으로 실시한 결과 아래와 같다. 학교 숲을 이용한 체험활동을 실시한 실험집단은 통제집단에 비하여 환경감수성의 하위요인인 자연에 대한 관심, 심미적 체험, 정서안정, 자연에 대한 동정과 연민 및 오염된 환경에 대한 노출모두에서 유의미한 차이가 나타나 초등학생들의 환경감수성에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 생각되었다. 그리고 실험집단의 사후검사시 사전검사에 비하여 환경감수성 하위요인 모두에서 유의미하게 높은 것으로 나타났다. 학교 숲을 이용한 체험활동을 실시한 실험집단은 통제집단에 비하여 환경친화적 태도의 하위요인인 인지적 영역, 정의적 영역 및 행동적 영역 모두에서 유의미한 차이가 나타나 초등학생들의 환경친화적 태도에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 생각되었다. 그리고 실험집단의 사후검사시 사전검사에 비하여 환경친화적 태도의 하위요인중 인지적 영역과 행동적 영역에서는 유의미한 차이가 나타났으나 정의적 영역에서는 유의적인 차이가 나타나지 않았다. 따라서 학교 숲을 이용한 체험활동이 초등학생의 환경감수성 및 환경친화적 태도의 형성에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤음을 알 수 있었다.

영문 초록

This research conducted experiment targeting 4th graders to identify the influence of the experience activity using school forest on the elementary school students environment sensitivity and environment-friendly attitude. The results are as follows. Compared to the control group, experiment group subjected to the experience activity using school forest manifested significantly high scores on the sub elements of environment sensitivity interest on the nature, aesthetic experience, emotional stability, affinity and caring for the nature and exposure to the polluted environment, which can be translated as exerting positive influence on the elementary school students environment sensitivity. Compared to the pre test, post test conducted on the experiment group manifested significantly high scores in all the sub elements of the environment sensitivity. Compared to control group, experiment group that was subjected to experience activity using school forest, exerted positive influence on the environment-friendly attitude s sub elements, cognitive domain, definition domain and behavioral domain, which translates into positive influence on the elementary school students environment-friendly attitude. Compared to the pre test, post test on the experiment group exerted significantly high scores in the sub elements of the environment-friendly attitude, cognitive domain and behavioral domain, while there was no significant difference in the definition domain. Accordingly, this research demonstrated that the experience oriented activity using school forest exerts positive influence on the sensitivity towards nature and environment-friendly attitude.
