건강가정생활 관련 학부모교육에 대한 교사들의 인식 및 요구

국문 초록

본 연구는 학교 학부모교육의 운영 실태를 알아보고 건강가정생활과 관련된 주제의 학부모교육에 대한 교사의 인식과 요구를 분석해봄으로써 효과적인 학부모교육의 프로그램 개발 및 운영에 기초 자료를 제공하고자 하는 목적으로 실시하였다. 조사대상은 대전광역시 소재 초,중,고등학교의 학부 모교육 담당교사이며 대전광역시교육청의 협조를 받아 총 292개 학교에 공문과 함께 이메일로 설문 지를 전달하여 회수된 132부 중 총 129부를 최종 분석하였다. 조사결과, 주로 학교 자체적으로 학부모교육 프로그램을 운영하고 있었으며 초등학교와 중학교에서는 주로 ‘학교폭력 예방’교육을, 고등학교에서는 ‘진로교육’을 실시하고 있었다. 프로그램의 주제 선정에는 학교운영자와의 협의 또는 학부모 요구도 결과를 반영하고 있었으나, 대부분의 교사들은 학부모교육 운영에서 학부모의 관심 저조와 홍보의 어려움을 애로사항으로 제시하고 있었다. 그러나 조사대상 교사들은 참여한 학부모들의 교육 만족도에 대해서는 긍정적으로 인지하고 있으며, 학부모교육으로서 자녀들을 위한 건강가정 생활 주제의 교육적 필요성을 높이 인식하고 있었다. 요구도가 높게 나타난 교육내용은 자녀교육에 대한 바른 가치관 함양, 자녀와의 의사소통방법, 자녀가 타인에 대한 배려심으로 갈등과 화를 잘 다스리도록 교육하는 방법 등이었으며, 상대적으로 낮게 나타난 것은 자녀의 가정생활역량 중 신체관 리기술이나 시간활용기술, 합리적 소비기술 등의 자원환경 관리교육이었다. 향후 건강가정생활 주제 학부모교육이 활성화되기 위해서는 특강 보다는 토론이나 실천적 실습을 통한 교육이 요구되며, 학부모와 학부모교육 운영을 담당하는 교사들의 의견과 요구를 적극적으로 수용하여 프로그램을 개발 하고, 운영체계를 구축해야 할 것이며, 학교 및 교육기관에서도 다양한 재정적, 제도적 지원을 위한 노력이 필요하다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to provide the basic data for developing efficient program and guideline of parenting education related to family life education. This study investigated operating status of school based parenting education and teacher’s perception and needs. This study was carried out by using a self-administered questionnaire and 129 teachers from 292 elementary, middle, and high schools at Deajeon metropolitan were participated with help of office of education. Most of schools conducted self-operating program and ‘school violence prevention’ in elementary and middle school, ‘career education’ in high school frequently was held. The topics of parenting education program were determined by needs of parents and opinion of principal. Many teachers often have difficulties for activating parent concern and public relations, but they thought that parents were satisfied with parenting education program. The teachers perceived that parenting education related healthy family life is very necessary and helpful to strengthen family life empowerment. Also educational needs in the contents such as ‘educational view of child’ and ‘good personality and abilities to build healthy relationships’ were high whereas ‘management skills for time, consumption, and environment’ were low. They also requested for more practical methods of teaching and learning and desired that the education should comprise how will be helpful in a real life. These results suggested that community and school should reflected the fundamental needs of teachers and parents and provide the financial and institutional support for the activation and efficient management of parenting education related healthy family life in school.
