국문 초록

주자의 <하도·낙서>에 관한 관점은 주로 유목의 영향 하에 형성되었다. 유목은 ‘易數’ 즉 ‘수리의 보편타당성’이 <하도·낙서>의 본질이라고 보았으며, 이는 주자에게 그대로 계승·발전된다. 유목의 河洛學은 『주역』 경전에 대한 해석의 차원을 넘어 『주역』의 근원이 어디에 있는가에 대한 탐색이었으며, 따라서 종래의 ‘경전 해석’이나 ‘괘기론적 역학’과는 달리 세계의 본원과 본질에 대한 물음이라는 성격을 갖는다. 그가 본 세계의 본원과 본질은 數理였으며 이는 세계에 대한 모사요 상징인 象보다 우선하는 것이었다. 주자는 유목의 數理를 다시 ‘理’로 일반화 하여, 이 세계의 균형과 질서를 설명하는 근거로 삼고자 하였다. 만약 유목과 주자의 하락학을 <하도·낙서>의 수적 조합으로부터 『주역』과 홍범 이 도출되는 과정으로 읽는다면 ‘과도한 해석’이라고 밖에 할 수 없을 것이다. 그러나 이를 거꾸로, 세계의 균형과 질서를 수리의 보편타당성으로 치환하고 그것을 <하도·낙서>라는 도상으로 구현해 낸 것이라고 한다면 이러한 해석은 의도와 의미의 차원에서 충분한 가독성을 지닌다고 하겠다.

영문 초록

The point of view of Zhu-xi’s Hetu-Luoshu was mainly formed under the influence of Liu-mu. Liu-mu sees ‘universal validity of mathematics’ as the essence of Hetu-Luoshu, which is inherited and developed by Zhu-xi. Liumu s Mathematical Theories of Zhou-yi was a search for where the origin of Zhou-yi was beyond the interpretation of Zhou-yi. Therefore, unlike the conventional interpretation of Zhou-yi or the Guoqi theory of Zhou-yi of the past, it was a question of the origin and the nature of the world. The nature of the world he saw was mathematical logic, and this was a precedent over Xiang, a similitude symbol for the world. Zhu-xi generalizes the mathematical logic of Liu-mu to ‘Li’, so as to provide a basis for explaining the balance and order of this world. If we read it as the process of deriving Zhou-yi and Hengfan from the numerical combination of Liu-mu and Zhu-xi s Mathematical Theories of Zhou-yi, then we can only say that is a excessive interpretation . However, on the contrary, if we read it as the process of the balance and order of the world are replaced by universal validity, and it is embodied in the image of Hetu-Luoshu, then this interpretation has sufficient readability in terms of intention and meaning.
