국문 초록

본 연구는 크루즈항구로서 부산항의 경쟁력 향상을 위한 전략 수립을 주된 목적을 하며 이를 위하여 전통 방식의 IPA 기법과 수정된 IPA 기법의 통합적 활용을 통해 분석 결과를 분석함으로써 보다 정교하고 정확한 연구 결과를 도출하고자 하였다. 여러 학자들에 의해 문제점이 제기되고 있는 전통 방식의 IPA와 편상관계수와 회귀계수를 활용하는 방식인 수정된 IPA를 수행하여 각 분석 결과를 비교한 결과, 공통적으로 부산항이 유지해야 하는 분야로는 항만 인프라와 출입국 분야로 나타났고, 집중 분야로는 마케팅활동과 기항지관광, 과잉 분야는 관광 인프라, 저순위로는 이벤트행사인 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 전문인력과 관련 해서는 각 IPA 기법에 따라 상이한 결과를 나타내는 것으로 분석되었다. 본 연구 결과는 부산항의 발전 전략 수립을 위한 근거 자료로서 활용될 수 있을 뿐 아니라 향후 IPA를 분석에 활용하려는 후속 연구자들의 보다 진지한 통계적 고민을 이끌어낼 수 있을 것이라 기대 한다.

영문 초록

This study aims to acquire the effective and appropriate action direction and to achieve a competitive advantage of the Busan cruise port. Importance-performance analysis (IPA) has been widely used in hospitality and tourism research due to its simplicity yet has been criticized for its arbitrary measurement of importance and its erroneous assumptions. Therefore this study presents a new approach which integrates an implicitly derived importance method (i.e. partial correlation analysis and regression analysis) and explicitly derived importance method (i.e. the traditional IPA). Comparing the results of direct and indirect measures, Port Infrastructure and Immigration belonged to the keep up the good work meanwhile the concentrate here quadrant contained Marketing and Shore Excursion . Tourism infrastructure was identified in the overkill and Event in the low priority whereas the distribution of Professionals varied according to the measures. This study provides an effective means of evaluating the port s competitive position, identifying improvement opportunities for the Busan port authority and the government.
