영문 초록

The main purpose of this paper is first to identify the structural characteristics of Kangweon regional agriculture, and then to examine the development strategies under the import liberalization and provincial autonomous system. The results of this study can be summarized as follows. First, the location quotient of five food crops such as maize, spring potatoes, spring chiness cabbage and spring radish, soybean and pelilla seed are larger than 1. But these food crops have very weak competitive position in world markets. Second, several specific crops and livestock for 15 counties are presented. Third, it is better to produce these specific crops and livestock in regional group systems for high-quality production by intensive farming using high-technology and capital. Fourth, regional committee must be operated to adjust into interregional demand and supply of agricultural products and control institutions concerned for minimizing economic losses.
