국문 초록

오늘날의 사람들에게 하느님 존재의 확실성에 대해 이야기하기는 그리 쉬운 일이 아니다. 이러한 하느님 인식의 모호함 속에 ‘하느님과 인간사이의 관계’를 설명한다는 일은 아예 불가능한 일이 되어가고 있는지도 모른다. 아주 오랜 시간동안 인간은 철학적인 사색과 신학적인 성찰을 통해 하느님과 인간, 그 사이의 관계를 규명하고 이해하려고 노력해왔으며, 이러한 시도는 다양한 방식으로 나타났지만, 적절한 답을 찾지 못하고 있는 것도 사실이다. 이러한 상황에서 한스 우르스 폰 발타살 (Hans Urs von Balthasar)은 그동안의 신학이 집중했던 이성과 신앙, 철학적, 형이상학적 논쟁에 국한되지 않는 방법론, 즉, 문학과 음악, 그리고 그리스도교적 전통위에서 소통하는 그 외에 여러 가지 사상들을 통한 신학적 성찰을 바탕으로 하느님과 인간사이의 관계를 규명하려고 시도한다. 특별히 그만의 방법론으로 평가받고 있는 ‘신학적 미학’은 그 동안의 신학이 망각해온 형이상학적이고 초월적 요소인 ‘아름다움’ (pulchrum)을 다시금 성찰함으로써 하느님의 영광과 자기계시, 그리고 그 최종적 형태로 이해되는 그리스도의 형상(Gestalt)에 다시금 다가설 수 있게 해준다. 이렇듯 von Balthasar의 신학은 ‘아름다움’을 지각하는 미학적 관점을 통해, 하느님의 자기계시와 그 계시 안에서 드러나는 하느님과 인간의 관계가 성찰되고, 이 성찰은 그리스도교 신앙의 핵심인 ‘계시사건’을 하느님과 인간의 만남이자 대화라는 구조 안에서 해석 가능하게 한다.

영문 초록

These days, it is not easy to tell the people about the certainty of God’s presence. In such an uncertainty of cognition on God, to explain ‘the relationship between God and a human’ seems to be almost impossible. For a long time, human beings made efforts searching and understanding ‘the relationship between God and a human’ through philosophical speculation and theoretical self-reflection. Such trials have been shown in various ways, but it is true that still couldn’t find proper answer to it. Under these circumstances, Han Urs von Balthasar tried to find out ‘the relationship between God and a human’ on the basis of theoretical self-reflection combined the theories of literature, music and other many theories on Christianity tradition. This method was not limited to the disputation of reason, religion, philosophy and meta-physics which previous theology concentrated until that time. Specially ‘theological esthetics’, which is evaluated as his own method, meta-physical and transcendental element, reflected ‘pulchrum; again, which had been forgotten. It makes approach again to God’s glory, self-revelation and Christ Gestalt which is understood as to its final feature. The theology of von Balthasar self-examined ‘the relationship between God and a human’ which is revealed in God’s self-revelation through esthetic point of view perceiving ‘pulchrum’. This self-examination makes possible to interpret ‘revelation’, the core of Christian faith, in the structure as to encounter and communicate between God and a human.
