영문 초록

This paper uses the metafrontier approach suggested by concept to account for the environmental and technological differences among commercial banks. The purpose of this study compares the technical efficiency of the 91 commercial banks in Korea, China, and Japan as a production set. The data were used Bankscope database. It analyzed the efficiency of cross-country in order to evaluate the efficiency of the national commercial banks. The interesting feature of the model is that it ensures that heterogeneous among three countries are compared based on one homogeneous technology. It has been intensifying competition for domestic banks because of the changing environment of globalization and development of information technology, for example the low-margin non-facing channels customer, the launch of Internet banking, the accelerating competition of online and offline, financial spread of Fin-Tech and P2P Loans through crowd funding. And amid growing the loss stores of bank and accelerating competition for the banking industry, in order to secure a bank growth, externally it is supporting the industry to activate the economy, and internally It has been a primary project to increase the productivity and efficiency. As a result, the efficiency of domestic commercial banks was high in this country, but the metafrontier efficiency including three countries’ commercial banks was lower than the commercial banks of China and Japan. Thus it was necessary to find a plan that can be a benchmark for commercial banks of China and Japan.
