교육개혁을 위한 신학적 토대

국문 초록

본고에서 필자는 한국교육의 근본문제를 진단하고, 교육개혁을 위한 원리를 개혁신학의 관점에서 도출한다. 오늘날 교육개혁의 방향은 학생들을 오늘의 병들고 왜곡된 세계관적인 영향에서 벗어나게 하고, 창조시에 주어진 본래적인 인간본성을 회복하도록 하는 것이다. 필자는 교육개혁의 세 가지 원리, 자유의 원리, 정의의 원리, 사랑의 원리를 제시한다. 첫째는 자유의 원리이다. 오늘날 사회에서 학생들은 비인격적인 교육제도 아래서 입시경쟁교육의 희생물이 되어 고유한 개성과 인간성을 상실하고 있다. 학생들은 비인격적인 교육제도에서 자유롭게 되어 인격적으로 존중되어야 한다. 둘째는 정의의 원리이다. 자유주의 이념의 영향으로 학생들은 점차 도덕적 규범에서 자유로워지며 도덕성의 보루로서의 권위를 부정하게 된다. 학생들은 왜곡된 자유주의적 이념에서 벗어나 도덕적 성품을 지니고 불의에 대해 용기 있게 저항하는 성숙한 민주시민으로 세워져야 한다. 셋째는 사랑의 원리이다. 학생들은 왜곡된 자본주의 사회의 영향 아래서 이기적인 욕망을 강화하고 있다. 학생들은 이기적인 경쟁사회의 흐름을 비판하면서 약자의 고통에 공감하면서 이들을 섬기는 사랑의 윤리를 실천하도록 세워져야 한다. 한국교회의 목회자들과 교사들은 학생들을 세상을 변화시키는 그리스도의 비전을 품은 그리스도의 진정한 제자들로 길러내는 것에 최선을 다해야 한다. 자유와 정의와 사랑의 원리로 새로워진 사회를 꿈꾸는 학생들을 길러내는 기독교교육은 이 땅의 학교교육의 유일한 대안이며 희망이다.

영문 초록

In this essay, I diagnose the fundamental problem of Korean education and draw the principle of reform of education in the Reformed perspective. The direction of the reform of education is to liberate students from the distorted influence of the secular world-view and to restore the innate image of God which was given from God. I present the three principles of the reform of education: freedom, justice, love. The first principle is freedom. In the society of today, students are sacrificed by the system of competition-based education, losing the individuality and humanity. They should be liberated from the inhumane system of education. The second principle is justice. Students of today are inclined to be set free from the moral norm and deny the authority as the fortress of morality. They should be liberated from the distorted ideology of liberalism and be built as the mature democratic citizens who have the moral personality and can resist boldly against the injustice. The third principle is love. Students of today strengthen their egoistic desire under the influence of the distorted Capitalist society. They should be taught so that they can criticize the stream of the egoistic competitive society, feel compassion for the pain of the weak and serve them in love. Pastors and teachers of church school in Korean churches should do the best in order to educate students as the true disciples of Christ who embrace the Christian vision of transformation of the world. The Christian education which can build the students who dreams the society that is renewed by freedom, justice, love is the only alternative and hope of the distorted school education of today.
