국문 초록

오늘날의 시대는 진리와 가치의 보편타당성 신념이 무너진 시대다. 포스트모더니티는 진리와 가치가 상대적이라는 것을 주장한다. 대중성과 실용성이 중요시되는 시대다. 이에 따라서 교육이념도 대중성과 실용성 중심으로 변질되고 있다. 대학 졸업 후 전문직의 취직과 관계없는 인문학(문학, 역사, 철학)은 위기를 맞이하고 있다. 포스트모더니티 자유주의 교육 미명 아래 교사 권위가 추락하고 있다. 여야(與野) 대선 후보들이 표만을 의식하여 무차별적인 '무상(無償)' 교육시리즈를 들고 나오고 있다. 재정이 뒷받침 되지 않는 무상교육은 교육의 질 저하를 초래할 뿐이다. 우리는 보편적 진리와 가치가 있다는 사실을 부정할 수는 없다. 바른 교육이념이란 진리의 보편성, 인간의 존엄성, 역사의 의미, 가정의 중요성, 사회 통합의 당위성 등의 인정과 설정을 말한다. 교육개혁의 방향은 첫째, 평준화 아닌 지성적 탁월성을 추구, 둘째 인성적 교육의 필요성, 셋째 인성 교육의 근거로서 기독교 세계관정립이다. 인성 교육이 중요하다. 그것은 인격적 헌신을 가르치기 때문이다. 기독교 세계관은 전인적인 인간성과 인간 존엄성을 제시한다.

영문 초록

The 21st century is the age when the belief of universal validness of truth and value is deconstructed. Postmodernity claims the truth and value are relative. It is the age when the popularity and practicality are considered important. Accordingly, even the idea of education has been changed into the popular and practical one. The humanities(literature, history and philosophy) has faced the danger, for it has no relation with the job after the graduation. The authority of the teacher has fallen in the name of the postmodern liberal education. The presidential candidates have promised the series of indiscriminate no tuition pay education, in order to earn the vote. The no tuition pay education without funding brings nothing but the decline in the quality of education. We could not deny there is universal truth and value. The right idea of education is to acknowledge and to set up the universality of truth, the dignity of humans, the meaning of the history, importance of the family and what should be of social integrity etc. The direction of the education reform is as follows. firstly, to seek for the intellectual excellency rather than the equalization, secondly, the need of the humane education, thirdly, the set up of the Christian world view as the ground of the humane education. The humane education is important, for it teaches the personal commitment. The Christian worldview suggests the wholistic humanity and humane dignity.
