학습 환경 요인이 화행 실현에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 연구는 학습 환경 요인이 화행 실현에 미치는 영향을 고찰하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 중국 내에서 한국어를 공부하는 학습자(CC), 한국 내에서 한국어를 공부하는 학습자(CK), 그리고 한국어 모어 화자(KK) 각 50명을 선정해 서면 DCT의 방법으로 자료를 수집했다. 의견불일치 상황에서 세 집단 화자의 화행 실현 양상을 비교ㆍ분석함으로써 어떤 집단의 중국인 학습자 발화가 한국어 모어 화자와 더 가까운지를 검토했다. 결과적으로 CC보다 CK의 발화가 한국어 모어 화자와 더욱 근접한 것으로 나타났으며, 학습 환경 요인이 화행 실현에 미치는 영향관계는 현실적으로 인정될 수밖에 없다. 학습 환경 요인의 구체적 영향관계를 정리해 보면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 학습 환경 요인은 화행 전략 사용의 다양성에 일정하게 영향을 끼친다. 목표어 환경의 학습자가 현지 학습자보다 더 다양한 화행 전략을 사용하는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 학습 환경은 학습자 화행 전략의 선택에 영향을 끼친다. 목표어 환경의 학습자는 원어민 화자와 비슷한 화행 전략을 선호하지만 현지의 학습자는 이와 다른 전략을 선호하는 경우도 있다. 셋째, 학습 환경 요인은 상황에 따른 학습자의 화용 전략 조절에 영향을 끼친다. 목표어 환경의 학습자는 현지 학습자보다 사회적 변인을 중시하면서 상황에 따라 화행 전략을 적절히 조절하는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 학습 환경 요인은 화행 실현에 부정적 영향을 끼치기도 한다. 목표어 환경의 학습자는 목표어 또는 목표문화의 잘못된 이해로부터 화행 전략을 적절하지 않게 사용하는 경우도 있다. 다섯째, 학습 환경 요인은 보조 화행의 사용에 영향을 끼친다. 현지 학습자보다 목표어 환경의 학습자가 상황에 따른 보조 화행 전략을 더 깊이 있게 이해하고 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of learning environment factor on the learner' speech act realization. Therefore, subjects in this study are 50 Chinese learners in China (CC), 50 Chinese learners in South Korea (CK) and 50 native Korean speakers (KK). I adopted writing DCT as our data collection method and compared and analyzed the patterns of speech act realization in disagreement situations in these 3 groups in order to find out which group's Chinese learners are closer to native Korean speakers in the manner of speaking in hope of finding out the specific effect of learning environment factor on the learners' speech act realization. The study shows that CKs are closer to the native Korean speakers compared with CCs, indicating the importance of effect of learning environment factor on the learners' speech act realization. The effect of learning environment factor on the learners' speech act realization is as follows: First of all, the learning environment factor has effect on the diversity of the usage of speech act strategy. Compared with the learners who study in their first language environment, the learners who study in the target language environment are able to use more varieties of strategies in speech act. Second, the learning environment factor has effect on the learners' selection strategies of speech act. The learners who study in the target language environment select similar speech act strategies to native speakers, while the learners who study in their first language environment select more other speech act strategies. Third, the learning environment factor has effect on the learners' strategies of adjusting speech act according to the situations. Compared with the learners who study in their first language environment, the learners who study in the target language environment attach more importance to social variables and are able to adjust their speech act strategies appropriately according to the situations. Fourth, the learning environment factor has negative effect on speech act realization. The learners who study in the target language environment sometimes use speech act strategies inappropriately due to the misunder- standing of the target language or culture as well. Fifth, the learning environment factor has effect on adjuncts. Compared with the learners who study in their first language environment, the learners who study in the target language environment are better at using adjuncts strategies according to different circumstances and have deeper understanding of the meaning of adjuncts.
