'판단중지'를 적용한 시 읽기 과정과 특성 연구

국문 초록

이 연구는 후설의 '판단중지'를 시 읽기에 적용하여 시 읽기 과정과 특성을 설명하는 데에 목적이 있다. 현상학적 관점에서 인식 주체는 생활세계 속에서 살아오면서 익숙해진 이데올로기나 가치를 바탕으로 대상의 의미를 구성한다. 생활세계를 구성하는 데 관여하는 이데올로기나 가치는 생활세계 속에서 상호문화적으로 형성된 것들이다. 그런데 이것은 인식 주체에게 당연하게 주어지는 것이기 때문에, 인식 주체가 처한 상황에서 마주하게 되는 대상의 본질과는 거리가 있을 수도 있다. '판단중지'는 인식 주체가 인식 주체의 의식과 대상에 괄호를 친 상태에서, 대상에 대해서 익숙해져 있던 의미에서 벗어나 대상의 새로운 의미를 찾기 위한 방법이라고 할 수 있다. 시를 읽는 과정에서 독자는 '판단중지'를 활용할 필요가 있다. '판단중지' 이후 독자가 대상을 인식하는 과정은 인과관계를 통한 의미의 재현(Representation)이 아닌 구성작용(Konstitution)을 통해 이루어진다. 그 독자의 순수 주관 속에서 구성된 의미는 타자와 세계의 관계를 통해서 사회문화적 의미로 구성된다. 독자가 시의 의미를 구성할 때 나타나는 '판단중지'의 과정은 지속성과 순환성을 띠고 나타난다. '판단중지'가 빈번하게 발생할수록 독자와 시 텍스트의 상호교섭작용은 증진될 수 있으며, '판단중지' 결과 생성된 시 텍스트의 의미는 확정불가능성, 중층성, 상호교섭성을 띤다. '판단중지'는 읽기 능력이 뛰어난 독자일수록 빈번하게 일어날 것이고, '판단중지'를 거치고 난 이후 의미 구성 과정은 역동성을 띨 것이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to assume that the process of a reader constituting a meaning of poetry text is mutual negotiation between the reader and the text and examine the process of a reader's poetry reading based on Husserl's phenomenological perspective. The researcher schematizes the process that a reader constitutes poetic meaning through 'epohkē' and explains the process of a reader constituting poetic meaning with the examples of Lee Jeongbo's sijo and poet Seo Jeongju's「Beside the Chrysanthemum」 created with the 'chrysanthemum' as their subject matter. While a reader is reading a poem, 'epohkē' is generated, and the process of a reader recognizing the object after the 'epohkē' is realized not with the reproduction of meaning based on causality but konstituion. And the recognition of a reader after the 'epohkē' tends to be dependent on others and the world. The process of 'epohkē' that appears when poetic meaning is being constituted takes the aspects of continuance and circulation. If 'epohkē' takes place often, mutual negotiation between the reader and poetry text may increase, and the meaning of poetry text generated as a result of 'epohkē' takes the aspects of indeterminacy, multilayeredness, and mutual negotiation. 'Epohkē' may occur more often if the reader has more excellent reading ability.
