유아기 자녀를 둔 부모의 자기성찰, 부모역할 만족도 및 양육태도 간의 관계

국문 초록

본 연구는 유아기 자녀를 둔 부모의 양육태도에 영향을 미치는 부·모의 자기성찰과 부모역할만족감 간의 관계가 성별에 따라 어떻게 다른지 살펴보고, 자기성찰과 양육태도 간의 관계에서 부모역할만족감의 매개효과를 검증하고자 하였다. 이를 통해 부모의 자기성찰과 부모역할만족감이 유아기 부모의 양육태도 변화에 어떠한 영향을 미칠 수 있는지 이해를 높이고, 또한 더 나아가 부모교육이나 상담에서 중점을 두어야 할 부분에 대해 실질적인 방안을 모색하는데 도움이 되고자 하였다. 연구대상은 서울 지역의 4세-7세 자녀를 둔 부모님 282명을 대상으로 하였고, 설문은 자기보고식 질문지로 이루어졌다. SPSS 21.0와 AMOS 7.0로 t 검증, 상관분석, 단순회귀 분석, 구조모형 검증을 실시하였다. 연구 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다: 첫째, 부모의 자기성찰에 유의한 차이가 있었으며 어머니가 아버지에 비해 자기성찰적 태도가 높았다. 둘째, 부모의 부모역할만족감에 유의한 차이가 있었으며 아버지의 역할만족감이 더 높게 나타났다. 셋째, 부모의 성별에 따라 자기성찰과 부모역할만족감이 양육태도에 미치는 영향력에 차이가 있었다. 넷째, 부·모의 자기성찰이 긍정적 양육태도에 직·간접적인 영향을 미쳤고, 부정적 양육태도에는 간접적인 영향만 미쳤다. 다섯째, 부·모 모두 부모역할만족감이 자기성찰과 긍정적 양육태도의 관계에서 부분매개 하였고, 모의 경우에만 부정적 양육태도와의 관계에서 완전매개 하였다.

영문 초록

The present study aims to examine how different the relationship between the introspection of parents with infant children and their satisfaction with parental roles-which influence childrearing attitudes-is different depending on gender and to verify the mediating effects of parental role satisfaction in a relationship between parents’ introspection and childrearing attitudes. This is intended to help better understand what impact the parents’ introspection and parental role satisfaction can have on changes in their childrearing attitudes and further seek practical solutions with regard to what should be the focus areas for parental education and consultation. The study surveyed a total of 282 parents in Seoul with children aged 4-7 years and the survey was conducted in a self-reporting manner. SPSS 21.0 and AMOS 7.0were used to perform a t-test, correlation analysis and simple regression analysis and test a structural model. The results from this study are summarized as follows: First, there was a significant difference between fathers and mothers in their introspection and fathers exhibited more introspective attitudes than mothers. Second, there also was a significant difference in parental role satisfaction and fathers reported high satisfaction with parental roles. Third, parents’ gender was a factor that made a difference in the influence of their introspection and parent role satisfaction having on their childrearing attitudes. Fourth, the introspection of parents contributed both directly and indirectly to the formation of positive childrearing attitudes but had only an indirect effect on the formation of negative childrearing attitudes. Finally, for both parents, the parental role satisfaction partly mediated in the relationship between their introspection and positive attitudes toward childrearing, but on the maternal side the parental role satisfaction fully mediated in the relationship between their introspection and negative attitudes toward childrearing.
