노인의 연령에 따른 사회경제적 박탈이 우울에 미치는 영향 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 노인을 60대, 70대, 80대로 구분하여 각 연령에 따른 사회경제적 박탈의 차이를 비교하고, 어떤 사회경제적 박탈요인이 노인 우울에 영향을 주는지를 살펴보기 위한 연구이다. 이를 위해 한국복지패널(KOWEPS) 7차 년도(2012년)자료를 이용하여 19개의 박탈항목을 구성하고 이를 점수화하여 박탈점수와 우울과의 관련성을 분석하였으며, 60세 이상 노인가구주 2,891명을 분석에 사용하였다. 연구결과 노년기의 다양한 사회적 박탈이 우울감에 미치는 영향력은 60대, 70대, 80대에 따라 큰 차이를 보이고 있다. 60대는 주거박탈, 사회적 박탈, 건강의료박탈, 취업박탈이 우울에 정적으로 유의미한 영향을 주었다. 70대는 식생활박탈, 사회적 박탈, 건강의료 박탈, 취업박탈이 우울에 유의미한 영향을 미치고 있으며, 80대는 식생활박탈, 사회적 박탈, 건강의료박탈이 우울에 유의미한 영향을 주고 있다. 이는 노년기 연령에 따라 우울에 영향을 미치는 박탈 요인이 차이가 있는 것으로 나타나는데, 노년기 전 연령대에서 건강의료박탈과 사회적 박탈이 우울에 가장 큰 영향을 미치고 있다. 그러나 60대는 다른 연령대와는 달리 주거영역에서 박탈이 우울에 유의미한 영향을 미치고, 80대는 60~70대에 비해 취업박탈로 인해 느끼는 우울감의 영향력은 소멸되었다. 이에 따른 노년기 사회적 박탈에 따른 우울 예방을 위한 사회복지적 실천 함의를 모색하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of the paper is to compare a difference in socio-economic deprivations according to age by classifying the elderly into 60s, 70s, and 80s age categories, and to examine factors of socio-economic deprivations and their affect on the depression of aged people. The study constructed 19 deprivation categories using the 7th year(2012) data of KOWEPS(Korea Welfare Panel Study) and utilized a scoring method in order to analyze the relationship between deprivation points and used the method in analyzing 2,891 householders aged 60 or older. As a result, the effect of various social deprivations in old age showed a significant difference depending on the age 60s, 70s, and 80s. The age 60s showed a statically significant effect on housing, social, health care, and employment deprivations. The age 70s had a significant effect on dietary, social, health care, and employment deprivations, while the age 80s had a significant effect on dietary, social, health care deprivations. The result shows a difference in deprivation factors that affect on deprivation according to old age, where health care and social deprivations influenced the most on the depression of all elderly age. Hence, the study explored practical implication of social welfare for depression prevention associated with social deprivation in old age.
