국문 초록

본 연구는 한국어 번역본 가족 부양 사정 척도의 문화적 교차 타당도를 한국 노인의 가족 부양자 자료를 통해 분석하였다. 본 연구는 2차 자료 분석법을 사용하였으며 분석 자료는 양옥경의 '의존성 노인을 위한 가족 부양에 관한 연구'로부터 얻어졌다. 양옥경의 연구는 205명의 의존성 노인과 그의 일차 부양자로부터 자료를 수집하였다. 본 연구에서 문화적 교차 타당도는 확인적 요인분석방법에 의해 조사되었으며 또한, 탐색적 요인분석방법을 통해 KCAS의 요인 구조도 비교조사 되었다. 확인적 요인분석 결과, 한국 가족 부양자로부터 추출된 자료가 가정된 요인구조를 재현해낸 정도는 4가지 적합지수로 (fit index) 산출되었으며 산출된 4 적합지수 모두 기준치에 미치지 못하는 것으로 나타났다 (Goodness of fit index=.77; Bentler-Bonnett index=.80; Hoelter index=71.93; Chi-square=545.92). 탐색적 요인분석결과, 한국어 번역본 가족 부양 사정 척도는 세 요인 구조를 갖는 것으로 나타났으며 이로써 한국어 번역본 가족 부양 사정척도의 요인구조는 가정된 가족 부양 사정 척도의 요인 구조와 상이함을 알 수 있었다. 결론적으로, 이는 한국어 번역본 가족 부양 사정 척도의 타당도 결함 문제를 지적한다고 볼 수 있다. 본 연구 결과는 타 문화권에서 개발된 사회척도의 한국적 적용을 위한 사전 계량분석의 중요성을 강조한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of the presented study was to investigate the validity of Korean Version of Caregiving Appraisal Scale (KCAS). 1) The study was designed as a secondary data analysis. Data set was originally from the "study on family caregiving for dependent elders" by Yang. 2) Information of two hundred and five primary caregivers of dependent elders was analyzed. Validity of KCAS was investigated by a confirmatory factor analysis. In addition, factor structure of KCAS was examined by an exploratory factor analysis. 3) Results of the confirmatory factor analysis revealed that four fit indices fell short of acceptable level fits to the hypothesized factor model (Goodness of fit index=.77; Bentler-Bonnett index=.80; Hoelter index=71.93; Chi-square=545.92), showing a significant departure of the data from the hypothesized model. 4) AIso, results of the exploratory factor analysis showed that, inconsistent with CAS, KCAS had a three-factor-structure. Findings from this study implied diversities in family caregiving across cultures and emphasized the significance of cross-validation of social measurements.
