최근 들어 생활소비재(CPG : consumer packaged goods) 산업은 소비자의 요구 사항이 더욱 다양해지고 까다로워짐에 따라 기업 간의 경쟁이 한층 더 가열되고 있다. 특히, 식품회사의 경우 소비자들의 기호가 더욱 고급화ㆍ다양화되고 편의성과 안전성에 대한 욕구가 높아짐에 따라 구조적인 변혁기를 맞고 있다. 이에 따라, 물류 부문도 고객의 요구에 부응하고 변화에 대응하기 위해 물류최적화와 서비스 수준 향상을 위해 더 많은 관심과 혁신을 수행해야 할 시기이다. 그러나 생활소비재 산업 대부분의 기업들은 고객의 서비스 수준과 직결되는 운송계획을 정확한 분석 없이 전통적인 경험에 의존하여 수립하고 있는 실정이다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 객관적인 데이터를 기반으로 세밀한 분석을 통해 생활소비재 산업 중 식품회사의 상온센터를 대상으로 배송 최적화를 위한 배송 경로효율화 방법과 운송비 절감 방법을 A사 사례를 중심으로 제시해 보도록 한다. 이를 위해 식품회사 A사의 배송 현황과 배송 경로의 문제점을 파악하고, 이를 개선하기 위한 효율적인 배송 방법의 도출을 통한 배송비 절감 방법을 제시하고자 한다. 특히, 효율적이고 과학적인 분석을 위해 배송 시뮬레이션 툴인 JDA사의 Transportation Modeler를 활용하여 운송비 절감 효과를 정량적으로 분석하도록 한다.

영문 초록

Competition between CPG companies has become even more heated in accordance with diversification and consumer needs. Especially in the case of food companies, consumer preferences have become more sophisticated and diversified, and the desires for convenience and safety have increased. Therefore, structural changes in food companies are being required. Accordingly, it is time to optimize logistics and improve logistics service levels in order for the logistics sector to meet the customer's needs and respond to changes. However, in the CPG industry, most companies are establishing a transport plan by relying on traditional experiences, without an accurate analysis. Therefore, in this study, we suggest how to improve the efficiency of delivery routes, and also propose how to reduce transport costs in the CPG industry through the analysis of objective data. Suggestions are based on the room temperature centers of the food company. The objective of this study is to present a methodology to derive the delivery efficiency and the transportation cost savings possibility based on the delivery route. To this purpose, this paper addresses the problems of the existing delivery routes of the food company. This paper also suggests ways to reduce transportation costs and the best methods for improved delivery. In conclusion, the effects of cutting transportation costs are analyzed quantitatively with the utilization of the delivery simulation tool, JDA Transportation Modeler.
