황병승 시의 그림자 형상화 방법 연구

국문 초록

본고는 황병승 시에 나타난 그림자 형상화 방법의 양상과 그것의 의의를 찾는 데 목적을 두고 썼다. 구체적으로 시의 경향에 따라 '주체 지향적 그림자', '대상 지향적 그림자', '혼성 지향적 그림자'로 나누어 논지를 전개했다. 시에 나타난 그림자는 인간의 무의식 속에 잠재되어 있는 어두운 부분이다. 분석심리학과 문학치료학적 관점에서 그림자 혹은 갈등은 자기서사를 이루는 필수불가결한 요소다. 왜냐하면 살아 있는 동안 우리는 수많은 갈등과 선택의 기로에 놓이게 되기 때문이다. 다시 말해 그림자는 갈등과 선택이 명료하지 않을 때 혹은 이미 우리 속에 내재되어 있는 숨기고 싶은 심적 상태로 볼 수 있다. 따라서 이러한 테제에 놓인 요소들은 그 특징과 기능을 살펴 긍정적인 방향으로 유도할 필요가 있다는 것이 본 논문의 요지다. 특히 시에 나타난 그림자는 직접적인 표현이 아닌 에둘러 말하기 즉, 은유로 가능하다. 이는 숨기려는 욕망을 가로질러 직시와 인식 그리고 치환과 표현의 기능으로써 유용하다. 더불어 시에 나타난 이미지와 상징 또한 전자의 기능을 수행하면서 시적 정서의 전이를 촉진시키는 역할을 한다. 본고에서 텍스트로 삼은 시인 황병승은 한국시사 100년사와 현대시사에서 주목할 만한 성과를 내고 있다. 그의 시가 보여주는 세계관은 기성 시단이 가지고 있던 것과의 '차이'로부터 발생하는 타자성, 서사성 등으로 다양한 평가와 주목을 받고 있다. 구체적으로 하위문화, 퀴어미학, 그로테스크, 우주적 상상력 등의 이미지로 요약할 수 있다. 이것은 현대사회의 인간성 상실에 대한 고발과 고백의 형식으로, 중심으로 들어서기보다 중심과 바깥의 경계를 인정하고 그 나름의 의미와 가치를 찾는다는 점에서 의의가 있다. 이것은 문학이 가진 고유한 정체성 가령, 읽기의 즐거움, 공감과 카타르시스의 즐거움 등과 더불어 시인 자신도 위안을 받을 수 있는 기능적 요소로서 시 쓰기의 가능성을 엿볼 수 있다는 점에서 주목하고 연구할 필요성이 있는 것이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of the study is to analyze the method to create imagery of the shadow in Byeongseung Hwang's poetry and to find what kind of meaning it has. Concretely, it was studied in three categories, divided by the tendency of poetry, 'subject-centered shadow', 'object-centered shadow', and 'both-centered shadow'. The shadow in the poetry reflects the dark areas in human's subconscious. In respect of analytic psychology and literary therapeutics, shadow or conflict is the essential factor for epic of self, because we face conflict and selection many times during our life. In other words, shadow could indicate the situation in which conflict or selection is not solved or decided or indicate the mental state that we have already in our mind but wish to hide. Accordingly, the factors in this these need to be drawn in the positive direction after analyzing their features and functions, which is the principal point of this study. Especially, shadow on the poetry can be thought as metaphor, periphrasis, indirect expression. This can function not only as direct looking and awareness, over the desire to hide, but also expression and substitution. In addition, images and symbols on the poetry also function like that and help to transfer poetic feeling. The poet, Byeongseung Hwang, treated in the study has drawn the result remarkable in the 100 year history of Korean poetry and in the history of modern poetry. The world view in his poetry has received various evaluations and attention, with its otherness, narrativity, etc based on the 'difference' with what the existing poets have. Concretely, it can be summarized through the images like subculture, queer aesthetics, grotesque, universal imagination, etc. This is a way to confess and disclose loss of humanity and is meaningful in respect that other kind of meaning and value are created with the attitude to acknowledge the boundary between the center and outside, instead of reaching to the center. Literature has its own identity like pleasure of reading, sympathy, catharsis, etc. Considering the availability, that poem writing can function as thㅠe tool with which a poet himself can take comfort, as additional feature of the identity, it needs to be focused and studied.
