유치원 교육활동 지도서에 수록된 동화에 나타난 다문화교육 내용 분석

국문 초록

본 연구는 2007년 개정 유치원 교육과정에 기초하여 발행된 「유치원 교육활동 지도서」(교육과학기술부, 2009)에 수록된 동화에 나타난 다문화교육의 내용이 어떠한지를 알아보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 총론과 종일반지도서를 제외한 11권에 수록된 동화를 분석하였다. 연령별 동화에 나타난 다문화교육 내용을 분석하기 위한 분석준거는 문화이해, 다양성, 정체성 형성, 존중과 평등, 협력의 다섯 가지 영역이었다. 분석결과 전체적으로 협력에 대한 교육내용이 다른 영역에 비해 가장 많이 나타나는 것으로 분석되었다. 연령별로 만 3세 동화에 나타난 다문화교육 내용은 협력이 가장 많이 다루어지는 것으로 나타났고, 다음으로 다양성과 문화이해의 순으로 나타났다. 만 4세 동화의 경우, 가장 많이 나타난 다문화교육 내용은 문화이해이며, 다음으로 협력과 다양성의 순으로 나타났다. 만 5세 동화의 경우, 가장 많이 나타난 다문화교육 내용은 협력이고, 다음으로 다양성과 정체성의 순으로 나타났다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to a analyze the contents of multicultural education in Picture Books in the 「Guide for Kindergarten Educational Activities」 developed and supplied in 2009 by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology. For this study, multicultural education activities in 45 Picture Books were selected from 11 guidebooks, except for Vol.1 (the instructions) and Vol.13 (guidebook for a all‑day program). These activities were analyzed based on five criteria (understanding of culture, cooperation, diversity, identity, respect and equality, cooperation). Results of this study were as follows: Multicultural education contents relevant to the category of 'cooperation' were commonly most prevalent among Fairy-Tales in the 「Guide for Kindergarten Educational Activities」. By age, multicultural education contents relevant to the category of 'cooperation' were also most prevalent among Fairy-Tales in the 「Guide for Kindergarten Educational Activities」 for three and five-year olds respectively. But multicultural education contents relevant to the category of 'understanding of culture' were most prevalent among Fairy-Tales in the 「Guide for Kindergarten Educational Activities」 for four-year olds.
