국문 초록

본 논문은 19세기 한문 장편소설의 하나인 <六美堂記>를 대상으로, 작품에 삽입된 한시의 수용양상과 활용양상을 살피고 더 나아가 소설 속에서 삽입 한시가 갖는 기능을 살핀 것이다. <육미당기>에 수용된 한시의 양상은 창작 방식에 따라 창작시, 차용시, 차운시로 나뉜다. 먼저, 창작시는 삽입시의 대다수를 차지하는 것으로, 작가가 소설적 상황과 필요에 따라 새로 창작한 것이다. 차용시의 경우 작품에서 서사적 맥락에 깊이 관여하기보다는 일종의 卽物詩로서 사물에 대한 일회적, 즉흥적 감흥을 표현하였다. 또 다른 창작 방식인 차운시는 다른 사람이 지은 시의 운자를 따서 시를 짓는 방식으로, <육미당기> 안에는 소동파 매화시에 차운한 ‘작품 외적 차운시’와 작품 내 인물들이 서로 상대의 시에 차운한 ‘작품 내적 차운시’가 있다. 다음으로 <육미당기> 삽입 한시의 활용 양상에서는, 삽입시를 김소선과 세 부인이 맺는 인연의 매개물로 활용하는 빈도가 가장 높았고, 다른 한문 소설과는 달리 독백과 화답의 대용물로 활용한 경우는 한 편에 불과했다. 중심인물의 재능을 과시하기 위해 삽입된 경우는 科詩 형태의 장편 賦를 활용하였으며, 대동의 연희물로 활용된 경우도 다수를 차지했는데, 결말 부분에 여섯 부인과 김소선이 대부안의 이적을 기리는 영물시가 그것이다. <육미당기>에 삽입된 한시는 인물 간의 관계를 설정하는 기능, 서사의 연쇄와 조응의 기능, 사건 중심 서술의 보완과 시점 확대의 기능을 한다. 주동 인물이 서로에 대한 처지와 재주를 알게 되고 마음을 정하게 되는 계기가 삽입 한시를 통해 이루어지며 ‘관계의 시작’이 한시를 통해 이루어질 뿐 아니라 ‘관계의 유지 과정’도 한시를 통해 드러난다. 또한 시를 발화하는 사람이 겪는 사건만 암시하는 것이 아니라 뒤에 이어질 다른 사람과의 결연을 암시하여 사건의 연쇄성을 보이며, 특히 발단부에 삽입된 한시는 결말부에서 ‘시구’가 의미한 바를 풀어 설명함으로써 서사의 시작과 끝이 상호 조응된다. 또한 삽입 한시는 사건 중심의 서술을 보완하여 서정성을 확보하며 3인칭 중심의 시점을 1인칭으로 확대하여 독자가 작품에 좀더 몰입할 수 있게 한다.

영문 초록

This theme have dealt with written by chinese letter in the 19th century. It has lots of inserted chinese poems. This study intends to examine the receptive aspects and functions of them in the novel. 22 pieces of poem written by chinese letter is inserted in the . They is divided into four classes [5 or 7-letter Chul-Ku (15 works), 5-letter Yul-Si (2 works), 7-letter Pae-Yul (2 works), a long work of poem (3 works)] by form. They is also divided into three classes [a creative poem, a borrowed poem, the poem of borrowing a rhyming word] by creative method. Many of inserted poems in is created by a writer in accordance with his needs. The novel is a genre of narration, so the inserted poem must have a constructive connection. It is fair that a writer has to create the chinese poem fitted for the narration to that. has the poems borrowed a rhyming word of his collection of works, . Especially it has a work borrowed a rhyming word of written by So, Tong Pa, the famous poet of Chinese. A writer inserted this poem into his novel, . In the borrowed poem's case, they don't take part in the narrative veins of novel. They express impromptu of feeling on things all but. They don't attract the following matter and don't give a hint. A writer would think it would allowable that he borrow his poems written ahead. He would know a distinction between a creative poem and a borrowed poem. Another method of creation is he poem of borrowing a rhyming word. Borrowing a rhyming word is a method of making poems, writer uses a rhyming word used in another poet's poem. In the , we can discover two classes of poem of borrowing a rhyming word. This is a external poem of borrowing a rhyming word and internal poem of borrowing a rhyming word. Next we study on ann inflected form of the inserted poems. They is divided into intermediation of love, substitution of monologue and dialogue, thing for showing of character's talents, thing for joy of everybody. Particularly, Kim So Sun, a hero remarks his sweety destiny is made of poems. Frequency of intermediation of love is highest. Contrary of other works, has only one piece of poem for substitution of monologue and dialogue. In connection with showing of character's talents, writer used long form. Inserted poems of have the function of relations between hero and heroine, chain and correspondence of narration, assistance of narration tended into plot, enlargement of a visual point. For the depth study on novels written chinese letter, more supplement and amendment are required through the analysis of other works.
