폴란드경제의 글로벌 금융위기 극복요인 분석

국문 초록

2000년대 들어 안정적인 성장세를 보이던 동유럽국가들도 미국에서 시작된 글로벌 금융위기로 인해 금융위기와 경기침체를 겪게 되었다. 그러나 동유럽국가 가운데 폴란드는 유일하게 마이너스 성장을 기록하지 않았다. 본 논문은 폴란드경제가 글로벌 금융위기상황에서 어떤 요인으로 인해 심각한 경기침체를 겪지 않을 수 있었는지에 초점을 맞추어 그 요인을 체계적으로 분석하는데 목적을 두었다. 분석결과에 따르면 폴란드는 소비, 투자, 정부지출, 수출 등 대부분의 국민소득 지출측면이 다른 국가들에 비해 양호한 성장을 보였으며, 이는 폴란드정부의 적절한 통화 및 재정정책, 환율절하, 금융시장의 안정 등에 기인하는 것으로 나타난다.

영문 초록

The recent global financial crisis started in the United States caused serious financial difficulties and economic recession in the central and eastern European countries which had grown in a stable phase through the mid-2000s. While most of the European countries experienced negative economic growth in 2009, Poland was the only country with positive economic growth in this crisis. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the Polish economic situation during the crisis period and find the reasons for overcoming the global financial crisis in Poland. We found that most of the expenditure aspects of the national income account, such as private consumption, investment, government expenditure, and exports, were relatively stable in Poland compared to other central and eastern European countries, and this stability was the result of appropriate monetary and fiscal policy, exchange rate depreciation, and financial market stability in Poland.
