국문 초록

본 논문은 다치바나와 고바야시의 고령자교육관에 착목하여 그들이 생각했던 고령자 사상과 학습을 고찰하고 한국사회가 직면해 있는 고령화 문제에 대한 향후과제를 제시하고자 한다. 본 연구의 검토결과, 다치바나는 고령자 복지에 초점을 맞춘 경로사상을, 고바야시는 현 사회에 대응 가능한 경로사상을 각각 토대로 하여 고령자교육을 전개해 나갔다는 점이 상이하지만, 두 인물은 정신적 측면에서의 고령자 교육활동의 기저인 보람사상 추구를 통한 노후생활의 창조를 달성하고자 하였다. 또한, 국가적 차원이 아닌 고령자 자신의 자기반성이라는 의식적 통제 하에 결부된 주체적 자립능력육성이 중시된 평생학습의 필요성을 강조했다는 점에서 공통점을 지니고 있었다. 이상의 결론을 통해, 인권사상에 입각한 평생교육제도의 확립 및 주체적 자립능력육성을 위한 학습의 장 확보를 제언하였다.

영문 초록

In this study, having taken notice of Tachibana Kakusho's and Kobayashi Bunjo's views about the education for senior citizens, their ideas about senior citizens and learning for them are considered and future tasks for the problems about ageing faced by our Korean society are suggested. As a result of this study, it is found out that Tachibana and Kobayashi developed the education for senior citizens with different respect for senior citizens; the former's respect for them was focused on their welfare but the latter's one was focused on the one which is able to react to current society. But these two people tried to achieve creation for the senior citizens' easy lives through searching for the idea of being worthwhile which is the basis of educational activity for senior citizens from the aspect of mentality. Still, they have something in common; necessity of lifelong learning was emphasized where fostering of the independent ability of self-reliance connected under conscious control, or senior citizens' self-reflection, not under national dimension was set on high value. Through the foregoing conclusion, not only establishing the system for lifelong learning based on the idea of human rights but also obtaining the place for learning to foster the independent ability of self-reliance are suggested.
