영문 초록

There are four core concepts in vicitimization theories: proximity, exposure to crime, target attractiveness, and capable guardianship. Males were equally likely to be violently victimized by a stranger or nonstranger, and females were more likely to be victimized by a friend, an acquaintance, or an intimate. Female victims are more likely to be murdered by intimates than male victims. During 1976- 2002, of those offenders victimizing females, 30.1% were described as intimates and 8.9% as strangers. By contrast, of those offenders victimizing males, 5.5% were described as intimates and 15.5% as strangers in U.S.. U.S. have the solutions about female victim of violent crime that of legal system, funds, shelter. Family Violence Prevention and Services Act was originally enacted Child Abuse Amendments of 1984. The Act was most recently amended by the Act of Keeping Children and Families Safe of 2003. Family Violence Prevention and Services Act would authorize $28 million in 2004 and $689 million over the 2004-2008 period for four family violence prevention programs(Family Violence Prevention and Services, National Domestic Violence Hotline and National Domestic Violence Shelter Network, Demonstration Grants for Community Initiatives, Transitional Housing Assistance) that are currently authorized under the Family Violence Prevention and Services Act. The Family Violence Prevention and Services Act already authorizes most of these appropriations through 2005, and this bill would extend the authorizations through 2008. Shelter’s mission is to provide support, prevent violence, and promote justice for victims of crime and abuse, their families and communities.
