일본의 방과후 아동교실 운영에서 지역교육력 활용 사례의 특징 및 시사점

국문 초록

본 연구는 일본에서의 지역교육력을 활용한 방과후 활동 중 방과후 아동교실 사업에 대한 출현 배경과 주요 내용 및 운영에 대하여 알아보았다. 또한 방과후 아동교실 운영에 대한 이론적 근거를 기반으로 지역교육력을 활용한 방과후 아동교실 현장사례를 다각도로 분석하였다. 이를 토대로 우리나라 초등학교 방과후학교의 돌봄교실과 특기적성교육에서의 지역교육력 활용에 대한 시사점을 도출하고자 하였다. 일본의 초등학교 현장사례 분석은 일본 문부과학성에서 편찬한 방과후 아동교실 우수사례집에 수록된 4개의 학교와 연구자가 직접 방문한 1개의 학교를 합하여 총 5개의 방과후 아동교실 사례를 조사하였다. 각각의 사례는 지역교육력의 요소인 ① 지역 인재, ② 지역 시설, ③ 특색 있는 지역 문화 자원, ④ 지역의 자연적 환경, ⑤ 지역의 사회적 교류를 중심으로 정리하였다. 일본에서의 방과후 아동교실과 연관된 지역교육력의 특징이 우리나라 초등학교 방과후학교의 돌봄교실과 특기적성교육에 주는 시사점을 7가지 일반적인 시사점으로 제시하였다. 본 연구의 결론으로 일본 지역교육력의 5가지 하위 요소에 따른 일본 방과후 아동교실 사례의 주요 특징과 이것이 우리나라의 초등학교 방과후학교의 돌봄교실과 특기적성교육에 주는 구체적인 시사점 5가지를 제시하였다. 5가지 결론은 방과후학교법 제정, 지역사회 기관과 시설 활용, 지역사회 문화자원 활용, 지역사회 자연환경 활용, 지역사회에서 아동의 폭넓은 사고와 인간관계 개발이다.

영문 초록

This study is about the background and general understanding of the afterschool activities in Japan, especially the afterschool child classroom. Also, the researcher wants to elicit implications related to the usage of community educational capabilities in Korean elementary afterschool activities, especially in childcare classroom and extracurricular educational activities by analyzing excellent afterschool child classrooms of the elementary schools which use community educational capabilities well in Japan. In analyzing the afterschool child classroom cases of five elementary schools in Japan, the researcher selected four of them, which were graded as excellent afterschool child classrooms by the Ministry of Education and Science of Japan. The five afterschool child classroom cases are summarized by the five elements of community educational capabilities: Community human resources, community material resources, community cultural resources, community natural environment, and community social interchange environment. The Japanese afterschool child classroom which uses community educational capabilities gives twelve implications for Korean elementary afterschool especially in childcare classroom and extracurricular educational activities. Seven implications are general and five implications are specific. In conclusion, this study is about the five implications, which are specific. That is, afterschool law institutionalization, community agencies and facilities usage, community cultural resources usage, the natural environment of community usage, and the wide thinking and human relations of community children usage.
