위례성(慰禮城)과 한산(漢山)에 대하여

국문 초록

백제가 처음 도읍한 곳은 위례성(慰禮城)이다. 다만, 위례성과 하남위례성(河南慰禮城)이 같은 곳인지 아닌지가 관건이다. 아울러 다른 곳이라고 했을 때 위례성이 어디냐 하는 것도 관심사 중 하나다. 관련 기록을 검토해 볼 때 처음에는 위례성에 있다가 하남위례성으로 천도한 것으로 믿어진다. 이때 처음 도읍했던 위례성은 패수(浿水)와 대수(帶水) 사이, 좀 더 구체적으로는 패수의 남안(南岸)이었던 것으로 생각된다. 하남위례성은 현재의 서울시 송파구 일대라는 데 대부분의 연구자가 동의하고 있다. 하남위례성에 도읍하던 백제는 근초고왕 26년(371)에 또 다시 한산(漢山)으로 이도(移都)한다. 왕성이 하남위례성에서 한산으로 다시 옮겨간 것이다. 그리고는 개로왕 때 한성(漢城)이 함락될 때까지 줄곧 왕성은 한산에 있었다. 한성이 함락될 때의 장면을 보면 당시 한성에는 북성(北城)과 남성(南城)이 있었고, 그 중 남성이 왕성(王城)이었다고 한다. 여기서 말하는 북성은 풍납동토성이고, 남성은 몽촌토성이다. 그런 점에서 근초고왕 때 ‘이도한산(移都漢山)’한 한산은 몽촌토성이라 믿어진다. 자연히 풍납동토성은 하남위례성이 되는 셈이다.

영문 초록

Wiryeseong Castle is the first capital of Baekje Dynasty. However, the question is whether the location of Hanam Wiryeseong Castle coincides with that of the Wiryeseong Castle or not. If the locations of two fortresses are different, the location of the Wiryeseong Castle is a concern. Examining the related document, we judged that Baekje Dynasty stays in the Wiryeseong Castle first and then, will be transferred to Hanam Wiryeseong Castle. We considered the fact that the Wiryeseong Castle is located between Paesu and Daesu Rivers. To be more concrete, the location of Wiryeseong Castle is the southern shore of Paesu River. Most researchers agree that the location of Hanam Wiryeseong Castle is Songpa-gu, Seoul. Baekje Dynasty which was set up the capital in Hanam Wiryeseong Castle was transferred to Hansanseong Mountain Fortress in the 26th year (371) of King Geunchogo’s reign. It means that the king’s fortress was transferred from the Hanam Wiryeseong Castle to Hansanseong Mountain Fortress again. In particular, the king’s fortress was located in Hansanseong Mountain Fortress until Hanseong Castle fell in King Gaero reign. The Hanseong Castle had the northern and southern fortresses when the Hanseong Castle fell in King Gaero reign. The southern fortress was the king’s fortress. The northern fortress is Pungnaptoseong Earthen Fortress, and the southern fortress is Mongchontoseong Earthen Fortress. Therefore, we judge that the Hansanseong Mountain Fortress in King Geunchogo’s reign is Mongchontoseong Earthen Fortress. Naturally, the Pungnaptoseong Earthen Fortress are the Hanam Wiryeseong Castle.
