국문 초록

19세기 말부터 20세기 초까지 산업화로 인해 대량생산체제가 도입되어 기능성과 실용성의 중요성이 점차 대두되며 조형성에 대한 비중은 점차 감소되었다. 이러한 경향은 모더니즘에서 포스트모더니즘 나아가 해체주의로 접어들면서 기능과 실용성에 중점을 둔 모더니즘으로는 설명하기 힘든 반규범적 현상과 파격적 양식의 디자인으로 나타났다. 외형적 성격으로는 일률적인 것을 거부하고 다양성을 강조했다. 예술계에서 해체주의는 사실주의와 모더니즘의 반발 작용으로 일어났다고 보는 것이 일반적인 시각이다. 본 연구는 해체주의의 표현적 특성을 이용해 기존장신구의 완벽성. 일관성. 확실성에 의문을 던지며 조형장신구 공간 안에 새로운 긴장감을 주는 형태 구성 원리의 다양성을 추구하려 한다. 해체주의의 표현적 특성을 이용한 조형장신구 연구에 있어 본 논문은 다음과 같은 방법으로 연구한다. 첫째, 해체주의의 영향을 받은 작품에 나타난 구조적인 특성을 조형적 요소로 분석 하고 외형적인 성격으로 비대칭적. 불규칙성과 불확실성을 추구하며 기능주의적인 디자인을 배제한 작업을 시도한다. 둘째, 비정형적 형태와 패턴의 다양성을 이용하여 해체주의의 형태의 변환과 변성의 이미지를 전달 하고자 한다. 미완성적인 철골구조의 형태를 모티브로 투각을 통해 장신구의 내부. 외부 경계를 파괴하고 그 안에서 이뤄지는 명암 대비를 통해 형태적 변화를 시도한다. 셋째, 조형물과 장신구가 독립된 작품으로 기능을 가지며 조화 가능한 작품의 시도를 통하여 그 기능을 다함과 동시에 복합조형이라는 하나의 목적을 이루어 표현하고자 한다. 결론적으로 본 논문은 기존의 상식적인 방법과 장신구 형태에서 탈피해 공 감각적이고 입체적인 조형장신구를 제작하고 일관적인 기능해체를 통해 장신구의 새로운 착용 방법과 조형성을 제시하고자 하였다. 이 연구를 바탕으로 현대조형으로서의 독립된 의미의 조형물과 장신구의 개발이 지속적으로 이루어지길 기대해 본다.

영문 초록

The importance of moulding has dramatically decreased since functionality and practicality is becoming the new principle of moulding by the introduction of mass production due to industrialization from the end of 19th Century to the beginning of 20th Century. These tendencies of modern era displayed unstandard phenomenon and unconventional design that can not be explained with function-oriented modernism since we move into postmodernism from modernism. Postmodernism is generally regarded as created by realism and resistance to modernism in arts due to the influence of post-strucuralism but both areas are seeking similar points. Postmodernism appears to focus diversity while denying uniformity. Therefore, I question the perfectness, uniformity, certainty of existing ornaments and intend to seek unfinished shape providing new tension to moulded ornaments. This study researched in the following ways in studying moulded ornaments using the features of postmodernism expression. First, structural features displayed in works influenced by postmodernism with moulded elements were analyzed and sought asymmetry, un-rhythm and uncertainty for external features and attempted function-oriented design. Second, I intended to express transformation to postmodernism and images of denaturalization using non-geometric shapes and diversity of patterns. I attempted changes in shape by contrasting brightness within by destroying boundaries of interior and exterior of ornaments through bratticing with unfinished steel structure as a motive. Lastly, I intended to express a goal of composite mould at the same time and displaying its functions by attempting works combining sculptures and ornaments as independent work and expressing them independently. As a result, this paper presented new ways for wearing ornaments and moulding by cancelling uniformed functions and by producing synesthesias and solid moulded ornaments by eliminating existing normal methods and shapes. Therefore, the paper established a new concept for moulded ornaments that combines sculptures and ornaments as independent works. I hope that sculptures and ornaments will be developed continuously with independent meaning as modern sculpture.
