영문 초록

Today‘s top issues around the world are about the environmental problems; such as global warming, acid rain, ozone layer depletion, etc. In order to find the suitable solution, IMO MEPC has been doing it’s best to prevent air pollution from ships since 1998. This paper summarizes the most recent trends in regulations that were discussed and announced during MEPC 53rd to 57th sessions (for 3years), and suggests what the Republic of Korea should do for both the international societies and our maritime industries in the near future.
