영문 초록

This study attempts to project the expected picture of peace and reunification of Korea under the Bush administration which is characterized by post-cold war at the global level since 1989. However, the cold war in the Korean peninsular has not been dismantled yet and it is still going on. The new domination policy of the Bush administration is expected to change the on-going small cold war into the big cold war in the North-East Asia by the harsh foreign policy against China. The hawkish policy of the Bush administration toward North Korea would be understood in the global context of the expected new confrontation policy toward China by the United States. The first and foremost policy facing Korean under this context is to realize even a partial reunification before the outbreak of the New Cold War between the United States and China which is expected somewhere around during the period of 2020-2030.
