영문 초록

At the beginning of 21th century, the Workers’ Party of Korea newly suggested the Economy Construction Line based on scientific analyses on the situation and the needs of the times. The Economy Construction Line is to develop the munitions industry preferentially, light industry and agriculture as well. DPRK is standing against USA, without large territory or population, and even in the state of division. Therefore, if DPRK neglects enhancing the military force, it can maintain neither the sovereignty nor the socialist ideology. Moreover, it will also be impossible to make an advantageous environment for economic development. Enhancing the self-defensive power means preventing an invasion and a war and protecting the sovereignty and the peace of the nation, which results in an advantageous environment for the economic development. In order for DPRK to maintain its sovereignty as well as to construct an independent and modern economy which suits the great socialist country, it should make the best use of the systematic traits of its economy. This is the reason why the Economy Construction Line is the best policy to improve the nation’s economy and the standard of living of its people. Improvement in the munitions industry has an active impact on the modernization and the computerization of the whole economy. Accelerating this process and introducing the achievements to other sectors in economy will promote the modernization and the computerization of the economy as a whole. Especially, improvement in the munitions industry leads to the development in the heavy industry, and setting a priority for developing the munitions industry
