보행보조로봇의 일상생활 지원을 위한 고령자 기억보조 기법에 관한 연구

국문 초록

본 논문에서는 고령자의 부족한 보행능력을 보조하는 보행보조로봇 사용자의 일상생활 기억보조 기법을 제안한다. 고령자들은 신체 노화로 신체 기능장애가 나타나며 그 중 보행 능력저하와 기억력 부족이 대표적이다. 현재 보행능력이 부족한 고령자의 보행능력을 보조하기위해 보행보조로봇의 연구가 진행되고 있다. 그러나 고령자의 기억력 부족을 보조하는 연구는 미비한 실정이다. 고령자는 기억력 부족 시 미래의 일을 걱정하며 두려움으로 인하여 일상생활활동(ADL)을 원활하게 할 수 없게 된다. 따라서 이들을 지속적으로 간호하여, 정상적인 생활을 할 수 있도록 하는 필요성이 있다. 하지만 사회적 요인들로 인하여 항시 고령자를 간호하기는 어려운 실정이다. 때문에 고령자의 기억력을 보조하는 보조공학의 연구가 필요하다. 이를 위해 본 논문은 보행보조로봇에 태블릿 PC를 탑재하고, 고령자의 일상생활 지원을 위한 기억보조 프로그램을 구현한다. 일상생활 기억보조 기법은 고령자가 자주 잊어버리는 사물에 지그비(ZigBee) 노드를 부착하여, 지그비 네트워크 망을 이용하여 객체의 위치 정보를 제공함으로써 고령자의 기억을 보조하여 원활한 일상생활을 누릴 수 있게 하였다. 실험한 결과 객체 추정은 7500mm×6950mm 공간에서 정확도는 평균 1.52m이고, 정밀도는 평균 97%로 확인되었다.

영문 초록

The elderly show signs of physical functional disturbance due to physical aging. Representative signs of functional disturbance are deteriorating walking ability and failure of memory. The elderly who lack walking ability have used the old passive walking aids to compensate for their lacking walking ability, but the old walking aids have safety issues. Thus researches on walking assistance robots have been conducted. On the other hand, there have been few researches on assistance for the elderly's failure of memory. When experiencing failure of memory, the elderly get to worry about their future affairs. With deteriorated physical functions, the elderly cannot perform activities of daily living(ADL) smoothly. Thus there is a need to provide them with ongoing nursing service and help them lead a regular life. However, there are social factors that make it difficult to provide the elderly with ongoing nursing service, which is why it is necessary to study assistance engineering to assist the elderly with their memory. Today a schedule notification program is used as a memory aid, but it has usage limitations among the elderly as it was developed for the general public. Thus there is a need to study memory assistance techniques for daily living that consider the capabilities of the elderly. Proposed in the study were memory assistance techniques for the daily living of the elderly that used a walking assistance robot to compensate for their lacking walking abilities. The investigator installed a tablet PC onto a walking assistance robot and implemented a memory assistance program to support their daily living. The memory assistance techniques for daily living involve installing a ZigBee node in the things the elderly often forget, finding the objects through the ZigBee network. and that is Object Estimation. The experiment results found that accuracy was mean 1.52m and density was average 97% in a space of 7500mm×6950mm.
