국문 초록

본 연구는 전문대 학생들이 지각하고 있는 교수신뢰와 대학생활적응과의 관계를 분석하여 전문대학생들의 대학생활적응을 높이기 위한 방안을 제시하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 전문대 학생들의 교수신뢰와 대학생활적응과의 관계, 대학생활적응의 주된 요인 등을 분석하였다. 이 연구에서는 전라남도에 위치하고 있는 C 전문대학 3년제 학과에 재학하고 있는 1학년 340명의 학생을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 교수신뢰 정도를 측정하기 위한 도구는 27개 문항으로 구성되어 있으며, 신뢰도는 Cronbach's α .85이다. 대학생활적응을 측정하기 위한 도구는 총 4개 요인의 65개 문항으로 구성되어 있으며, 전체 Cronbach's α 계수는 .82이다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS Win 17.0 프로그램을 이용하여 Pearson의 적률상관관계 분석, 회귀분석 등을 실시하였다. 이와 같은 연구를 통해 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 전문대 학생들의 교수신뢰가 높을수록 대학생활적응은 높아진다. 둘째, 학생의 교수신뢰 요인 중 친밀감은 대학생활적응의 주된 요인이다.

영문 초록

The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between levels of faculty trust and levels of student adjustment to community college life. Data were collected from 403 students at Cheongam University College. A questionnaire was constructed to assess both faculty trust and adjustment to college life. The statistical methods used for data analysis were descriptive statistics, Pearson's correlation, and regression analysis with the SPSS Win 17.0 program. Results showed that the more faculty trust a student had, the higher their college adjustment level. The factors of faculty trust that significantly influenced students' college adjustment were intimacy, expertise, teaching ability, and leadership. Intimacy between student and faculty had an especially positive effect on college adjustment. The study found that intimacy between faculty members and students is positively linked to both academic and social adjustment in college. By statistically verifying that faculty trust is an important factor for students' adjustment to college the study showed that there are certain methods faculty members can use to help community college students effectively adapt to college life. Institutional attachment grounded on intimacy between the faculty and students may help to sustain a strong level of student comfort in college.
