국문 초록

본 논문은 태어난 순간부터 디지털화된 시각문화와 정보와 의사소통 방식 안에서, 자연스럽게 디지털 정보를 소비하고 생산하는 법을 터득하고 있는 디지털 세대들인 현대의 학생들을 위한 유의미한 학습활동으로서 디지털 스토리텔링을 소개하고 단계별로 교수-학습 시 고려할 사항을 제안한다. 단계별 실천방안을 중심으로 하는 디지털스토리텔링의 이론과 실제를 통해, 보다 사회 문화적 변화와 발맞추며 학생들의 흥미와 관심을 유도할 수 있는 새로운 미적 활동을 제시한다. 디지털 스토리텔링은 이야기하기의 현대적인 디지털 미디어를 통한 재해석이며, 이미지와 음악과 내러티브와 음성을 서로 엮어가면서 디지털 미디어를 통해 이야기에 생생한 색과 더 깊은 의미, 통찰력을 부여하는 가장 효과적인 방법은 3분에서 5분 사이의 디지털 비디오 포맷의 영상제작이다. 미술교육에 있어서 디지털 스토리의 구성을 교육할 때에는 멀티미디어라는 디지털 비디오의 본래의 특징을 활용하여 시청각적이며 미적인 소통을 이끌어 낼 수 있도록 내용과 스타일과 이야기 구조를 구성하도록 해야 한다. 또한 본 논문은 디지털 스토리텔링의 제작과정, 내용, 학습요소는 물론 제작시 유의해야할 윤리적 문제를 소개하고 해결법을 제안하여 현대사회의 유의미한 의사소통수단인 디지털 스토리텔링을 효과적으로 구현하는 방안을 모색해본다.

영문 초록

Because digital technologies have helped shape the contemporary generation, a new type of art education is needed for this digital generation. We need to move beyond teaching and learning the ways in which technology works, to figuring out how we can promote contemporary art education’s goals and practices through the benefit from digital technology. This acknowledgment is the basic foundation to initiate research in this dissertation, and I advocate digital storytelling is a beneficial approach to be further developed with pedagogical, instructional, curricular significance. Creating digital stories through video production turns individual’s personal narratives into a multimedia experience by combining music, video, still images with individual’s creative voice. Narrative video production engages the viewing audience in surprising and powerful communication, and it makes the creators discover the power of personal expression and greater creativity at their aid. Although large numbers of digital videos have been created and shared, educators need to educate students regarding the use of systematic approaches and procedures as well as powerful meanings and contents. The utilization of meaningful activities that can engage students in the construction of knowledge in different ways is important in meaningful and educational integrated digital technology through digital art education. When we are integrating digital storytelling in art education, it is imperative to apply rigorous values and features to the production of digital stories. Therefore, I introduced the important features to create powerful, aesthetic and meaningful digital stories based on media education, art education and film theory literature. Throughout the systematic process, students will be able to become savvy visual writers and media authors focusing on a strong narrative and a true understanding of how to use multi-media components such as still images, videos, and sounds.
