한국교회의 성장정체원인분석과 대책에 관한 연구

국문 초록

연구자는 논문에서 한국교회성장정체원인에 대한 분석과 대책을 제시하고자 했다. 사회학자들은 사회가 변하면 결과적으로 종교도 변화를 겪을 수밖에 없다고 주장한다. 1한국교회의 성장은 1990년 이후 정체되는 현상을 보이고 있다. 한국사회가 빠르게 세속화되면서 교회도 더울어 세속화되어가는 흔적을 여러 곳에서 목격하고 있고 결과적으로 세계가 주목하던 한국교회는 성장의 정체를 맞고 있다. 교회역사 2000년은 교회가 잘못되고 실패하는 순간은 언제나 기본을 잊었을 때 였음을 가르쳐주고 있다. 교회의 세속화는 교회가 시대정신을 흡수함으로 교회의 본래의 사명과 목적을 잊어버리는 불행한 사태이다. 논문에서 연구자는 한국사회의 세속화에 따른 한국교회의 세속화 현상을 논의 한 후 현재 한국교회가 겪고 있는 성장정체현상을 극복하기위한 다섯 가지의 대책을 제시하였다. 첫째, 사회의 세속화에 따른 교회의 세속화를 경계해야 한다. 둘째, 한국교회의 지도자들과 교인들의 신앙과 삶의 불일치 그리고 비윤리적 행동 문제가 해결되어야 한다. 셋째, 한국교회 안에 확산되고 있는 비성경적 사상인 실용주의주의를 경계해야 한다. 넷째, 공격적인 전도방식 그리고 타종교와 이웃들에게 거부감을 줄수 있는 전도 방식을 수정할 필요가 있다. 다섯째, 한국교회의 사회와의 닫힌 소통 문제를 해소할 필요가 있다. “교회로 교회 되게 하라“ 는 개혁자들의 외침에 한국교회는 귀 기울이며 성경에 기초한 교회의 사명과 역할을 회복해 나갈 때 다시 부흥과 성장을 경험하게 될 것 이다.

영문 초록

The researcher in this paper has tried to analyze the current stagnant condition of the Korean Church and has presented some possible solutions for the present crisis of the Korean Church in the terms of growth. Sociologists have asserted that a secularized society would eventually make the church secular. Since 1990, the Korean Church's growth has been static, and we have witnessed a growth in secularized content in many parts of Korean Church life. 2000 years of church history hav e repeatedly taught that when the church forgets its foundational truths,the church always goes wrong. The secularization of the church is always an unfortunate situation. By absorbing the spirit of the world and forgetting its original mission and purpose, the church becomes secularized. The researcher has discussed in this paper the process of secularization of the Korean Church and proposed five measures to overcome the current crisis. First, we must guard against the secularizing influences in the church that come from the secularization of Korean society. Secondly, unethical conduct and disharmony between the historical faith and our actual Christian life should be addressed. Third, the widespread secular pragmatism of the Korean Church, and the unbiblical ideologies being taught should be given careful attention. Fourth, aggressive evangelistic methods and acting disrespectfully toward other religions as well as toward nonbelievers should be corrected. Fifth, the breakdown of communication between the church andthe larger society must be dealt with. “Make the church to be the church,”the cry of reformers, must be listened by both Korean Church leaders and the members. If the Korean Church regains its original church mission and role, then the church will experience revival and growth again.
