국문 초록

국토의 대부분이 山地의 풍토환경을 지닌 한국은 오랫동안 산 연구전통과 지식체계를 축적하여 왔으며 그 성과는 山誌로 종합되었다. 이 글은, 山誌의 개념을 산에 대한 지식정보의 체계적 編述형식이자 地理誌의 한 유형으로 정립하고, 사례 연구로서 지리산 山誌의 특징, 형식, 내용, 구성 등에 대해 고찰한 것이다. 지리산의 山誌로서『두류전지』는 조선시대 山誌의 대표적인 저술 성과일 뿐만 아니라 전근대 시기의 지리산과 지리산 문화에 대한 지식체계가 종합된 것으로서 학술적 가치가 있다. 山誌는 산과 관련된 역사 문화에 대한 기록유산이자 문화생태적인 지식체계이기에 현재와 미래의 지식자원으로 활용될 가치가 충분하다.

영문 초록

Mountainous country, Korea has stored research tradition and knowledge system on the mountain for a long time. The knowledge information on the mountain has integrated into the mountain topography. In this paper, I define the concept of the mountain topography, as a systematic compiling form on the mountain knowledge and a type of topography. For a case study, I examine on the Jiri Mountain Topographies in several aspects of : the distinctive feature, form and contents, and construction. Especially Dureyjeonji is a representative achievement of the mountain topography in Joseon dynasty. Dureyjeonji has an academic value that synthesized knowledge information on the Jiri Mountain culture in the late Joseon period. As the mountain topography is a typical record heritage and cultural ecological knowledge on the mountain, it has sufficient worth to be used for mountain knowledge resources in the present time and the future.
