영문 초록

Murong Xianbei had a long period of history which was characterized with 3 developmental stages. The first stage of its history called Xianbei belonged to Qin and Xihan period of the Jungwon area. In this first period which was still part of Eastern Xianbei, people supported themselves mainly by primative hunting and pastoral economic system. During the next stage, assumed to be the same period of Dongjin and Weijin, people started to move from Xilamulun river toward the south and began to settle in Daling river. At this time Xianbei finally got independent from Eastern Xianbei. Its economy had been slowly changed into farming, showing transitional features in its culture. The final stage reached from the foundation to its downfall of the last period of Xijin. During this time, the feudal farming economy had been firmly established and merged into ‘China civilization’. At the same time, it had completed uniting with Han. One thing that I like to make a point of here is that those 3-stage cultural and economical develpments of Murong Xianbei had been made relatively naturally, peacefully, reasonably and, furthurmore, rapidly which could be remarkably sensed throughout the second stage. Comparing that Xianbeis had finally started to get noticed to Han at Donghan age after long period of anonymous years at Xihan age, Murong Xianbei had made a drastic economical and social transition for a very short time of 300 years from the early period of Xihan age. Some remarkable facts of this transitional period are there weren't found any conflicts between two different cultures and there was any visible resistance between two ruling conservative groups of each culture. So what made these big differences between these two Xianbei groups which originated from the same branch? The answers should be much more complicated and serious, but somehow they must be deeply involved in their close partnership in many areas such as culture, economy, politics and society itself. Answers should be found in followings : First, there were big economical differences between two groups. Second, each own culture had its own different social characteristics. Third, there were systemic differences in each government. Finally, they had different attitude and policies toward Chinese. and its culture.
