영문 초록

Korean honorific agreement is pragmatically constrained, requiring the consistency of honorific information between the subject and the head verb. However, the verbal honorific affix -si is often optional in non-final conjuncts of verbal coordination constructions. Taking a lexicalist view (HPSG, Pollard & Sag 1994), this paper suggests that the optionality of honorific markers in non-final conjuncts is explained by the sharing of feature structures containing honorific information between two conjuncts.
