국문 초록

この論文では、朝鮮半島の解放により日本から入国する朝鮮人引揚者が、当時どのように釡山あるいは釡山港をみたか、観点により様々な異なるイメージがあったのではないか、という問題意識から始まった。この研究の目的は、解放された人々の目に映った釡山のイメージを抽出することによって、釡山の地域性(Locality)への研究に一助しようとするものである。論文では主に解放直後日本から帰還する二人を目を借りて、釜山がどのようなイメージで記録されたのか探ってみた。イメージとして記録される空間は、見る人によって社会的人間関係に対する特定の観点によって、大きかれ小さかれ一定の部分を誇大に強調されるもので、行為者と対象との関係が四次元的に結合された複合体ないし連続体としての属性を持つのである。 実際において、引揚者でいっぱいになっていた釜山港や、祖国解放の喜びに感情が高調していた釜山市民たちの姿は、上陸者が共通的に対面する対象であった。しかし、同じような実体の空間は、見る人の特定観点によってお互いに違うイメージとして映られた。敢えて特定イデオロギーによる視線を持っていたとは言えないが、羨望や疾視のような特定感情は、同じ対象を見る視覚において違うレンズとして機能したのである。 例えば、比較的に短い期間にわたって徴用労動者として活動し、朝鮮半島に永住帰国する労務者の目には、解放直後釜山の様子は、喜びと豊饒の場所でありながら不條理で満ちた場所として映られてきた。千辛万苦の末に生き残ってきたが、差別にあっているという、悲喜の錯綜する屈折した気持ちが、このようなイメージを生成したのである。 他方では、比較的に長年の期間にわたって日本で生活し、朝鮮半島に一時帰国する活動家の目には、解放直後釜山という空間は、混乱で不潔な場所、自分を危うくする危険な場所、身近に近付きにくい疎疎しい場所として映られてきた。韓国語が下手なわけに釜山の住民との対話が不便であり、急激に反日雰囲気が激化される地域の状況の中で、目の前に展開されている変化を素直に受け入れることが困難であった人には、このようなイメージで見えてきたのである。

영문 초록

This study has one purpose to contribute a new historical view of point to discourses about locality of Busan city by means of research on description of repatriates as liberated people. After all, this paper tries to confirm the images of Busan 1945 that Korean repatriates from Japan saw at that time. The space recorded as an image is inclined to highlight partly, whether it is intense or not, through viewer’s point of sight, and it has an attribution of compositeness and successiveness in consequence that the relation between viewer and objects combines each other in four dimensions. All of repatriates on Busan port in reality could see many Korean people full of enthusiasm for national emancipation. But their standpoints were so various that they made many different images to the common objects. No matter what their ideologies may be, their specific emotions like envy or jealousy operated as differentiated lens which made them see given places as differentiated ones. In a case of drafted laborers abroad, the periods of their services and visions of their future influence a lot to their viewpoints. Short-term laborer, for example Chung-Hae Jeong, willing to reside permanently in Korea viewed Busan as a jubilant and abundant place as soon as he came back right after the liberation. However, he also felt some absurdities there because he was treated discriminatively comparing to other laborers in spite that he has returned to homeland after the all sorts of hardships and privations. In another case of Jeong-Su Jang who had been long-term laborer in Japan and entered Korea temporarily, we can see that he viewed Busan as a tumultuous and squalid place. He felt that the city might threaten him with the slightest provocation, and he perceived it an unfamiliar place where he had difficulty to come close to. To make him more miserable, Jang couldn’t speak mother tongue very well because of his long absence. In addition, he couldn’t accept the sweeping changes shown on the port and the street in Busan without resistance.
