국문 초록

본 연구는 최근 유럽의 장애인보조기구 산업을 둘러싼 사회ㆍ경제적 환경의 변화와 이에 대한 장애인보조기구 산업의 다양한 행위자들 중 기업의 적응과 전략, 그리고 정부정책과의 협력을 통한 산업활성화 전략을 살펴보고 우리나라에 대한 함의를 찾는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위하여 본 연구에서는 독일, 스웨덴, 영국 등의 유럽 3개국에 대한 문헌 검토와 현장 방문을 통하여 서로 다른 제도적 환경의 요구에 대응하는 기업의 전략들을 중심으로 살펴보았다. 본 연구의 결과 사례국가의 기업들은 케어산업과의 접목, 이용자의 선택과 통제에 대한 강조, 다양한 연구개발투자 및 마케팅 지원을 통해 이용자의 욕구에 맞는 제품을 생산하는데 주력하고 있음을 알 수 있다. 따라서 우리나라에서 장애인보조기구산업이 지속적으로 확대되려면 정책변화를 둘러싼 정부와 기업의 파트너십, 이용자의 욕구를 세밀하게 읽어내게 하는 이용자 참여구조, 우리의 장점을 산업으로 연결시킬 수 있는 인적ㆍ제도적 인프라 및 관련 서비스 전달체계 등이 뒷받침되어야 할 것으로 본다.

영문 초록

This study aims to examine the socio-economic environmental changes of the recent European assistive technology industry and the adapting strategy of the assistive technology industrial organization and to discuss its implication on Korea. For this purpose, this study investigated the various strategies of industrial organizations towards the different systemic environmental requirements by the literature review and the field study on three European countries, Germany, Sweden, and The United Kingdom. The major result showed that the European countries of our interest concentrate their efforts on supplying products in accordance with the user’s needs, through the association with the care industry, the emphasis on the user’s choice and control, and a great deal of research and development investment and marketing support. Therefore, for the consistent development of Assistive Technology Industry in Korea, the partnership with the government and assistive industry, the user’s active involvement reflecting their own needs, and the infrastructure and the related service delivery system, adopting korean context specific properties into assistive technology industry, are encouraged.
