영문 초록

is Chinese poetry written by Song, Sang-do who recorded the historical traces of the fighters for independence by visiting their bereaved families or close friends one by one. The Chinese poems contained in represent the awareness of the time and consciousness of resistance at that time under the ruinous circumstances of the nation. In addition, This is considered to be meaningful material that could allow us to inquire into the Chinese-poetry-history-based property left out of the history of Chinese poetry during the Japanese colonial rule. Thus, this research is aimed at doing a closer study into the patriotism and consciousness of resistance of the intellectuals from the latter era of the Chosun Dynasty by using the Chinese poetic works contained in as its subject matter, and also shedding new light on its symbolic meanings contains the past activities of as many as about 250 patriots including the army in the cause of justice, Manchurian fighters for independence, patriots sacrificing their lives for the country at the time of the Samil Movement, and even up to cultural crusaders and communists. The Chinese poetry recorded in includes the inserted poems written by the proper figures in the midst of stating the anecdotes of the figures' whereabouts, Jeolmyungsi[a poem written at the time of taking one's life]at the time of dedicating one's life for the country, and Mansi[the last farewell poems]tributed to anti-Japanese patriots. The -contained Chinese poetry acutely exposed several patriots and patriotic martyrs' irresistible anger and pathetic feelings about the national dangerous situation which our people faced at that time. This research took a look at a thematic aspect by dividing it into "bitter grief-suicide-uprising for national ruin" according to the whereabouts of patriots and fighters for independence. All this while, the national poetry at this period formed mostly centering on Korean poetry; nevertheless, this research could discover that there also existed the thorough national spirit in Chinese poetry.
