국문 초록

본 연구는 유아교육과 신입생들의 자아존중감과 대인관계능력 향상을 통한 대학생활 적응을 돕고자 자기성장프로그램을 개발.적용해보고 그 효과를 알아보는 것이 목적이다. 연구대상은 D대학 3년제 유아교육과 신입생 40명을 실험집단 20명, 통제집단 20명으로 나누고 실험집단에게는 10주간의 자기성장프로그램을 처치하였다. 두 집단을 대상으로 프로그램 처지 전과 후에 자아존중감과 대인관계능력을 검사한 후 프로그램의 효과를 알아보기 위하여 각 척도의 사전평균을 공변량으로 하고 사후 평균을 종속변수로 한 공변량 분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과 자기성장프로그램은 유아교육과 신입생의 자아존중감과 대인관계능력 향상에 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 예비유아교사로서 유아교육과 신입생들이 보다 대학생활에 잘 적응하고 만족할 수 있도록 지원하는 것 또한 교사양성교육의 중요한 부분이라 하겠다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to a develop/apply self-growth program and find the effect, in order to help the freshmen of the Early Childhood Education Department adapt themselves to the college life through improvement of a sense of self-esteem and personal relations capability. The object of this study is 40 freshmen of the Early Childhood Education Department, D College, a three academic year college. They were divided into two groups(experimental group: 20 persons, controlled group: 20 persons). The controlled group completed 10 weeks of a self-growth program After examining a sense of self-esteem and personal relations capability for both groups before/after completing the program, covariate analysis was performed to find the effect of the program - for a covariate as before average of each scale and a covariate as a dependent variable of after average. As a consequence, the experimental group has a statistically meaningful result in both the items, compared to the controlled group. In other words, the self-growth program has an effect on improvement of a sense of self-esteem and personal relations capability of the freshmen of the Early Childhood Education Department. It is a basic task to give educational support to the students of the Early Childhood Education Department as reserve preschool teachers in order to ensure the students well adapted to the college life.
