국문 초록

한국인에게 나타나는 노인성 난청이 심리적 그리고 사회적/상황적으로 어떠한 변화를 가져오는지를 기록하고 KHHIE의 사용 설문지에 대한 검사- 재검사를 통하여 신뢰도를 검증하고자 하였다. 본 연구에서는 노인성 난청이라고 밝혀진 평균 연령 72.5세인 100명(남자 41명, 여자 59명)의 난청자를 대상으로 KHHIE 설문지의 25개 문항(사회적/ 상황적 측면 12개 문항, 심리적 측면 13개 문항)을 통하여 노인성 난청으로 인한 심리적 그리고 사회적/ 상황적 변화에 대한 두 가지 검사 방법(FF법, PP법)으로 1차 검사를 실시하고, 동일한 설문지를 가지고 약 6주 후에 동일한 방법으로 재검사를 실시하였다. 본 연구의 결과 KHHIE의 검사- 재검사 신뢰성과 표준오차에 대한 95% 신뢰구간(FF: 15.13, PP: 14.34)을 구하였다. 따라서 KHHIE는 한국 노인성 난청자들의 사회활동이나 심리적인 측면을 고려한 다양한 환경에서 재활 및 보청기가 어느 정도 효과가 있는지를 보다 더 구체적으로 측정하고, 예측할 수 있는 검사도구로 임상에서 사용할 수 있음을 제안하였다.

영문 초록

This study was performed to measure the reliability of the recomposed Korean Hearing Handicap Inventory for the Elderly (KHHIE). T he inventory comprised of two subscales : 12- item subscale explores social and situational hearing impairment ; 13- item subscale explores emotional effect of hearing impairment (see Appendix 1). The result s of the study can be summarized as follows : (1) Correlation relation between PTA and KHHIE was 0.67 which indicates that as the hearing impairment get s wor se the point s for hearing inventory increase. (2) The reliability of the KHHIE was evaluated by assessing it s internal con sistency through the computation of Chronbach s coefficient alpha. Alpha value ranged from 0.91 to 0.97 for the entire inventory which shows high internal consistency . (3) T he standard error (SE) of measurement and the standard error of the difference between two administrations of the KHHIE (2√2 SE) were calculated. T he SE associated with the FF and PP administration of the KHHIE were 5.35 and 5.07, respectively, suggesting that test - retest scores would have to differ by at least 15.13 and 14.34 point s (95 % confidence interval for a true charge) in order for rehabilitation effect s to be con sidered effective. (4) The test - retest reliability as sociated with the FF and PP administration s of the KHHIE was computed using Pear son correlation. The test - retest correlation was quite high, 0.94 to 0.96, for all scales suggesting that the score on two administration s of the KHHIE are related in the test - retest situation. (5) T he result s for analy sis of comparison between KHHIE and KHHIE- S was all above 0.90 showing that KHHIE- S can feasibly be used as screening tests.
