폴란드 문화관광산업의 현황과 전망

국문 초록

문화관광산업은 21세기에 가장 주목받는 분야 가운데 하나이다. 고 도의 감성적 휴먼서비스인 문화관광산업은 IT 산업보다 통상 다섯 배 의 고용창출 효과를 가져온다고 한다. 동유럽 최대의 관광시장인 폴란 드는 아름다운 자연환경과 풍부한 문화유산, 편리한 교통, 저렴한 물 가, 친절한 서비스 등을 내세우며 국가 이미지 재고와 관광산업의 발 전에 총력을 기울이고 있다. 특히 EU 회원국들을 대상으로 한 홍보에 관광 정책의 역점을 두고 있는 상황이다. 본 논문에서는 폴란드 관광청(Polska Organizacja Turystyczna)에 서 발표한 각종 통계자료를 통해 폴란드 문화관광산업의 현황과 전망 을 살펴보고, 폴란드의 대표적인 문화관광 상품을 크게 3가지 분야, 즉 문화유산, 자연자원, 문화 이벤트로 나누어 그 대표적인 사례를 연 구해 보도록 하겠다.

영문 초록

The tourism industry is one of the most closely observed industries in the 21st century. It is known to offer five times the job creation benefit of the IT industry. Poland, which has the largest tourist market in Eastern Europe, is focusing its resources on tourism industry to enhance its national image as ‘youthful Europe’, moving away from the old image of a socialist nation by offering a beautiful natural environment, abundant cultural heritage, convenient transportation, low costs, and friendly services. The focus of their tourist policy is particularly on PR targeted at EU nations. In this article, I will examine the prospects of Poland's cultural and tourist industries through various statistical data published by the Polish Tourism Organization (Polska Organizacja Turystyczna) and by dividing Poland's cultural tourist products into three areas, namely, cultural heritage, natural resources, and cultural events, we will study the most representative cases of these three fields.
