오답원인 자기평가 능력의 변화

국문 초록

이 연구는 오답원인 자기평가의 실천이 오답원인 자기평가 능력을 향상시킬 것인지, 그 효과는 성별로 다를 것인지를 확인하고자 하였다. 중학교 3학년 과학 과목을 대상으로, 동일한 과학 교사가 담당하는 4학급, 남·여학생 212명을 대상으로 오답원인 자기평가를 3월부터 7월까지 5회에 걸쳐서 실시하였다. 오답원인 자기평가 능력은 실질적 오답원인 비율(또는 1-피상적 오답원인 비율)로 정의되었다. 연구 결과는 두 가지로 정리된다. 첫째, 피상적 오답원인 비율 분석결과는 오답원인 자기평가가 오답원인 자기평가 능력을 향상시키는 효과를 보였으며, 남녀 간 뚜렷한 차이를 나타내지는 않았다. 둘째, 실질적 오답원인 유형별 비율 분석 결과는 검사문항이 주로 어떤 요소를 측정하는가에 따라서 달라지는 경향을 보였으며, 각 유형별 비율의 남녀간 차이 역시 발견하기 어려웠다. 이에 근거하여 오답원인 자기평가의 실천가능성을 논의하였다.

영문 초록

This study was to explore whether the practice of ‘the self-evaluation to identify causes of wrong answers’ could improve the competency of the self-evaluation and showed different effect on gender. Participants of the experiment were a total of 212 students (composing 4 classes) chosen from the 3rd grade Science classes taught by a teacher in a middle school. The experiment was to let students self-evaluate the causes of wrong answers. It was repeated 5 times in a semester. In this study, the competency of ‘the self-evaluation to identify causes of wrong answers’ was defined as the ratio of substantial causes (1-ratio of superficial causes). Findings were: First, the practice of ‘the self-evaluation to identify causes of wrong answers’ could improve the competency on ‘the self-evaluation to identify causes of wrong answers’ on the basis of the ratio of superficial causes. And there was no gender difference in improvement. Second, the ratio of each type of substantial causes was changed by the attributes measured by the test items. And there was no gender difference in the ratio of each type of substantial causes.
