二樂亭申用漑의 시문학 연구

국문 초록

申用漑는 대표적인 훈구 관료인 申叔舟의 손자이면서도 佔畢齋 金宗直의 제자로서 신진 사림들과 교분을 두터이 하고 사림의 정신에 입각한 삶을 살았다. 그 점에서 그는 당대의 정치사와 문학사에서 중요한 역할을 담당한다. 이는 당대의 정치와 문학을 勳舊와 士林의 대립관계로만 파악하려는 기존의 이분법적인 시각이 반드시 그렇지만은 않다는 사실을 보여준다는 점에서 중요한 의미를 가진다. 신용개의 시는 외형적으로 보았을 때 가장 두드러진 특징이 次韻詩, 題畫詩, 輓詩가 많다는 점이다. 차운시는 기존 작품의 韻을 그대로 따라야 한다는 제약이 있다. 제화시는 이미 주어진 그림에 맞추어 그림속의 풍경을 묘사하거나 그림의 주제를 표출해 내야 한다. 만시는 주인공의 죽음을 애도하거나 생애를 찬양하는 내용을 담아야 하므로 거의 상투적이고 의례적인 내용이 되기 쉽다. 이러한 작품들은 작가의 개성을 드러내는데 원천적으로 제약적 요소가 된다. 이러한 시적 특질, 또는 한계점이 신용개의 문학적 역량에도 불구하고 후대 시문집에 많이 실리지 않은 이유 중 하나로 보인다. 또 하나의 특질로는 老莊사상적인 경향의 작품들이 보인다. 각박한 현실에 염증을 느끼고 자연으로 돌아가고 싶은 歸去來의 심정을 표현할 때 노장적인 사고방식이 원용되곤 한다. 그는 특히 술을 좋아하였다. 과거 역사에서 술을 좋아한 문인들은 매우 많은데, 신용개도 충분히 그 반열에 들 수 있을 정도로 술을 좋아하였을 뿐 아니라 그러한 성향을 작품에서도 도처에 드러내고 있어 하나의 특질을 형성하고 있다. 노장적인 성향과 술을 좋아한 것은 관직에 매인 몸으로서 세속을 벗어나고자 하는 욕망의 표출로 볼 수 있다.

영문 초록

We can imagine how distinguished his literary capacity is from the fact that Shin Yong-gae was a great scholar (文衡) the civil minister of the highest level was only possible to take. As not only a disciple of Kim Jong-jik but grandson of a representative meritorious retainer and official Shin Sook-ju, he deepened intimacy with newly entering scholars and lived on the spirit of scholars. In this point, he occupied an important position in the history of politics and literature of those days. It has an important meaning in the point the general existing view to understand politics and literature of the times only in the antagonistic relation between meritorious retainers and scholars would surely not right. In his poem in shape the most prominent characteristics are of Chawoonsi(次韻詩), Jehwashi(題畫詩) and a funeral ode(輓詩). Chawoonsi is a kind of poem that must use a rhythm in an existing poem as it is. Jehwashi means a poem describing scenes in already given pictures or expressing the theme of a picture. A funeral ode as a poem has to contain grief over the death of a character and praising one's life, which nearly is apt to be conventional and courtesy. These elements make poetry restrictive of displaying poets' originality. As another inclination there are found his works toward Lao-tzu and Chuangtzu's thought which was used when expressing the heart wearing in the hard real life and the mind of th mind returning to the nature (歸去來). He especially liked drinking alcoholic beverage. There were in the past history a lot literary men like that, Shin, Young-gae not only rose to the rank but displayed such a propensity here and there his works, which make a specific character of his. His inclination toward Lao-tu and Chuangtzu and liking alcoholic beverage seem to express his desire to get out of the mundane world as he was hanged on government service.
